The worst Genesis game

I have seen threads talking about the very best Genesis / Mega Drive games, I am asking what do you think are the very worst.

I have to put Super Hylide at the top of the list of the very worst. There is nothing good about this game, and I once owned it before getting rid of it.

I can't comment on worst but I thought True Lies and Afterburner 2 both sucked. Ugh, I dumped those titles because they weren't worthy of my collection. :!:

I absolutely hate Awesome Possum, "I'm Awesome" :shame: and Wayne's World deserves a worthy mention.

Yea, I got that game in a bundle I imported probably about 4 years ago. I played it once, nearly barfed, and traded it in to the local store immediately afterwards. It sat there up until about a month ago. It was sold a few times, but always seemed to get returned, so I know we aren't alone on this.

For me, Shaq Fu is up there along with Heavy Nova, and any "flight" "simulators" like F-22 Interceptor and F-15 Strike Eagle. I can't play any of those games past the start screen.

shaq fu isn't that bad, its just a little stiff as far as controls go. I don't know how people can be so harsh when they have such high praise for Flashback and Heart of the Alien.

Talespin is pretty bad unfortunately. How it actually made it to Game Gear is beyond me.

On the same note, Green Dog. Both it and Tale Spin sound and look the same. Probably built off the same engine. And both suck.

I kind of like F-22, F-15 (Strike Eagle II) sucks though. (mainly due to controlls, F-22 manages to do more with 3 buttons than F-15 with 6-buttons, granted F-22 is an exclusive while F-15 is a port from computer) Really though I think they could have made the controll better with full 6 buttons in F-22. I can stand the framerate though, number 1 problem is rudder control IMO.

And on AfterBurner: isn't that one of the more sought after titles, being a bit more expensive. (for something that common) Even SMS AfterBurner was pretty good, even Tengen/NES was decent. (actually NES/Famicom AfterBurner II was pretty good too, voice samples and everything, not sure if that was JP only though)

People just want "Afterburner 2" because its got an F-15 on the cover, while the game is based around the F-14.

Except for "Afterburner Climax" which has 3 planes to select from, and is totally jawusum.

The worst Genesis game

The idea here is basic, name what you think is the worst Blizzard game that they have put out and maybe why. I personally have played and liked every single game, so I was wondering where other peoples distrust of Blizzard was coming from. Now try to take into account when it was released...Warcraft I is pretty bad by todays standards...

Well since we're in semi-off topic-mode, I might as well say that the worst game for the Turbo Grafx 16 was Impossimole. =D

Now back to the main subject...
I've played tons of Genesis games, but none of them have been truly terrible. I mean beyond like Tailspin and stuff, 98% of the Genesis's library isn't half bad. This is surprising for a console with so many games.

I haven't played Tale Spin -- it sounds like I'm lucky -- but I do have Greendog, and I kinda like it! I think that the game is meant to be appreciated as quirky, cute, and funny, with a nice soundtrack. I think if it is approached this way, it is a pretty good game (at least once in a while).

I think the problem is when people don't find it cute or funny, and they don't enjoy the soundtrack. Then all they see is a stupid game with poor controls!!!

My brother bought this game BITD. I put quite a bit of hours into it. Any way I approached it, the game just sucked IMO. Just another piece of US developed trash.

At least with Sword of Sodan, you could pause the game and look at/admire the graphics... somewhat... er whatever. Yeah.
