I've learned this a little more.
So you just draw whatever the hell you want to the framebuffer? no more working with 8x8 cells?

I been asking chilly for that for like a year.
But so much effort for so little gain Vector.
Why ?
I can understand Tempest, but Checkered Flag is just a crap game with crap coarse design and crap music.
Well Chilly was going to improve CF controls for 32 x port. Check links I posted where we discussed it all in detail. Also a sms program for 32 x (since 32 x is plugged in, it negates sms play) he was making too along with a sega cd movie player program and other projects he planned.
Because people could have PM'ed me about it, but yet...here. These are Jaguar source codes for these games and could be ported to 32 x (RAM can handle these). Now with coding info, you can not only port, but improve things like controls for checkered flag etc.

Yet, who will actually port these to 32 x ? Info is here for people who are willing.
Dat 19000 line YAK.S file :p
I don't think "coarse" was the word I was looking for.
Yea I wanna try Fight For Life on the 32X.
I say we dissect the AVP source code and mix it with the Genesis Wolf3D sourcecode to create AVP GENESIS!
There are the codes, where are the results ? Anybody here or on another site going to port these for 32 x ?
I may work on a couple at some point, but I've got other things higher up on the TODO list first.
Did all our MegaED owners notice the new V9 OS for the MegaED? That has the new mode in it that KRIKzz added for me - it allows devs to use all 16MB of ram in the MED with MD/32X homebrew. It uses an extended version of the standard Genesis mapper (SSF mapper). The 68000 can change the banks (8 banks of 512KB space can be set to any 512KB bank of ram in the MED), as well as write to them. The 32X can then read those banks - due to how SEGA made the 32X, the 68000 has to change the banks and do any writing to ram. It's a bit of a limitation, but not too bad.
Yes.
What does this mean for us users, that doom jaguar could be ported ?Quote:

No, it means a source port of the PC version of Doom, with patch wads and the whole shebang.
What I was thinking is have the rom have the shareware wad file, but use MODE 1 to load the full wad and patch wads from a CD. So you not only get every version of Doom, but all the cool TCs as well.
Sounds great chilly, I know you got so many projects like sega32xcd movie player, wolf 32x cd (?), 32 x sms emu, and so much other stuff. Did you try playing wolf32x on mega ed with o/s 9 yet ? I can't get it to go, maybe because sega cd is hooked up or I need to change file to ".32x" idk.
It works fine for me, but my file does end in .32x since I originally ran it with an older OS that required that extension. It could be that some 32X games still need the .32x extension because whatever recognition code KRIKzz uses fails to ID the file as 32X. My own ID code for the NeoMyth menu does a number of checks to recognize 32X games, including checking for 32X mapped jumps.
just had a thought recently how about doom 2 or rayman (could just changed the level layouts sprites etc in doom 32x) or just port atari jaguar version of rayman i know it was suppose to come out on 32x but did a prototype rom of the game ever came out?
Tempest 2000 on 32x pls
Just the Arcade version of Tempest
I doubt there would have or would now be a lot of commercial interest in it, due to the 32X being a lesser-owned "platform", but it's a shame there was never a great RPG for it or the 32X/SCD combo for that matter. If I had the time and skill to do so, that's what I would make, but not many people do.
