The Easiest Genesis/MD Game

What do you think is the easiest Genesis game? Perhaps by genre? Can you device a good list of the "easier" Genesis/MD titles?

Here's my list:

Platformer: Aladdin, The Jungle Book, Sonic 3 or the Ren & Stimpy Show-Stimpy's Invention (Sorry, there are too many).
Beat 'em Up/Hack 'N Slash: Golden Axe (1 and 2)
Run 'N Gun: Shadow Blasters
Shmup: Trouble Shooter
RPG: Sword of Vermilion
Fighting: Mortal Kombat (the first one) - (Probably the easiest/shortest genesis game ever made. It's even easier than Shaq-Fu).
Racing: I haven't finished one yet, but the Road Rash series seem easy enough.
Old-School Arcade: Frogger. Also Ms. Pac-Man (but only when playing co-op).
Board Game Port: Risk
Light-Gun Game: IDK
Sports: None

...Feel free to add more genres (or subdivide the one's that are already listed) ;)

Sonic 1 is pretty easy.

But Ren & Stimpy is painfully easy.

Aladdin is hard! What is this nonsense?

Ok, I admit. ;) Aladdin has to be my most played video game ever. Perhaps that's why I find it so darn easy. Of my platforming list, Ren & Stimpy is definitely the easiest, regardless.

HELLO! Streets of Rage! those games are super easy (on easy difficulty anyway). I think that's part of the reason I liked them so much back in the day, you could actually beat them without being a master of the universe.

Ghouls n' Ghosts. So easy that it could probably beat itself just running the demo screen. Easier than breathing.

Road Rash is pretty easy. Along with NBA Jam if computer assistance is turned OFF.

The original Streets of Rage is easy until you reach the cheap final boss.

World of Illusion is easy. Streets of Rage 1+2 are easy.

I think we sometimes forget we all have different skill levels, I find Sonic 1, Streets of Rage 1 hard.

As far as easy games

Correction. Streets of Rage is easy on Medium difficult until you reach the jumping girls BEFORE the cheap final boss.

I find Phantasy Star 4 much easier than Sword of Vermilion.

He is a cheap bastard.

But the final boss of Streets of Rage 3 is painfully easy to beat.

Streets of Rage 2 is pretty dang easy by Genesis old-school standards if you're playing on normal or easy that is. ;)

Like all enemies in Streets of Rage (except the final boss) the girls have their weaknesses and are easy to exploit, ok they aren't quite as easy to defeat as the fat bastards, but still aren't that tough.

TmEE is 100% Correct. Panorama Cotton should've been on my list. its still the best looking game on the Genesis though :cool:

Art Alive is easy, except level 12 really pulls out all of the stops and gets intense, but it is still easy. Although it's on the Sega CD rather than the Genesis proper, I thought that the Virtual VCR was pretty easy as well. Last boss was cake!

Shining Force.

The AI is just so stupid, it dazzles me. They even 'programmed' it to be 'stupid' in some areas based on results of hacking the game. :daze:

The intelligence is there, but the AI just never got a chance to use it.

Edit: That, and magic will nearly 1HKO anything in the game.

Haha, what?

People are confounding easy games to titles that they mastered. Shinning Force, Zombies at My Neighbours, Aladdin never were that easy.

My picks (on normal difficulty, if there's one) are Streets of Rage II, World of Illusion, Desert Demolition and TMNT: Hyperstone Heist. These games doesn't have a single more challenging obstacle.

Sonic is not that easy in the first time you get to Labyrinth Zone. And Sonic 2 Death Egg is far from a piece of cake until you get to bosses' mechanics. But, as these games are built-ins and most of us played them almost all the time, they give that false impression of easiness. Altered Beast isn't so easy indeed.

Most football/soccer games I've played for the Genesis aren't challenging too. But I don't know whether this occurs only because I almost always select Brazil.

TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist is a little too easy.

DJ Boy is sickeningly easy. And quite lame. But I love it anyway.

EWJ2 was FAR easier than its predecessor. But I doubt it's in the league of easy platformers. There was a ton of those but I didn't bother with most of them. Oh and Mickey Mania is hardly easy! (still remains TT's best game to date)
