The Nostalgia Critic riffed on "Suburban Commando" recently and remarked that there's an "Afterburner"-Arcade in the movie (though they call it by another name, it's definitely recognizable). You can even read part of the name in some shots...

Oh, I feel the need to note that in an episode of "The King of Queens" (TV, but whatever) there is an After Burner arcade at the bowling alley. There was also an NBA JAM and Open Ice arcade as well IIRC (not Sega, but still awesome).

I remember seeing a Dreamcast on the show "G-String Divas" on HBO. The tall latina girl had one connected to a big screen television and was using it to play CDs.

Note I'm not really an anime fan, just of a couple series, that being one of them which I real got into a few years ago when it wa sbeing shown on a local PBS station. ;) (KTEH for those in the area)
'Anime' encompasses a wide range of animated works over several decades originating in post-WWII Japan, and it is being mimicked in several other places as more people realise mature storytelling is viable in animated form. Studios have produced content derived from old folk tales to post-apocalyptic cyberpunk. So saying most anime is about mechas is a brush too wide to paint the medium with.

My small anime collection includes some series that do not have anything remotely robotic in them.
In the episode of Home Improvement where they think Randy or something has cancer, he runs off to an arcade chock full of Sega arcade games.
