So I was rummaging through my chest that is full of video game controllers and wires and miscellaneous stuff and I came across two things that seem to be peripherals for the genesis but I have no idea what they are/do. Both are similar to genesis controller extension cables. The first one is a pretty short cord maybe 7 inches, and on one end its the receiver slot for what looks like a standard 9 pin thingie like the end of the controller extension cord for a genesis controller to plug into. The other end looks just like the end of a Sega Saturn controller cord, the part that plugs into the console. Unlike the Saturn controller cord where the end is metal this one is just hard black plastic. My original thought was maybe this is to use a genesis controller on the Saturn. I tried it on a Japanese Saturn and it fit fine in the console but didn't work however (I only tried it briefly with one game).
The other one is exactly like the genesis controller extension cable on both ends, but it is really short also like maybe 7 inches. When I plug it into the genesis however the controller I plug into it doesn't work. The only writing on it says Taiwan on one end and on the other side it has an L in a circle. I wish I could post pics but I don't have a digital camera. Does anybody out there possibly know what these might be for?:daze:
