What games are you hyped for? Me, personally, I'm counting the days until Crackdown 2 and Dead Rising 2 come out.
Burnout 6 mostly, Splatterhouse is a mixture of excitement and fear.
Mushihime-sama Futari
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Fallout 3 GOTY edition
Valkyria Chronicles 2, Yakuza 3 and Demon's Souls.
Metroid: Other M
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Dead Rising 2, Dante's Inferno, and Splatterhouse.
Dantes Inferno though takes priority.
Dead Rising 2 and Super Street Fighter 4
Looks like a few good ones listed
For me:
*God of War 3 (still have to beat the first 2, then Buy a PS3 slim)
*Splatterhouse 3
*Metroid: Other M (need to finish all the Primes first, did beat Fusion and Mission Zero recently and was at the mother metroid on Metroid 2 before my save got corrupted)
*Dead Rising 2 if it comes out on the PC, lol (I think I heard it will)
*Rage (looks interesting)
*Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (first zelda I played all the way through was Phantom Hourglass and liked it!)
*Alice in wonderland (dunno much about this one, if its like American McGee's Alice, it will rock)
Right now I still have alot of games to finish first though, I need some "personal health" days ;)
I'm just about 3/4 done with X-men origins: Wolverine, been a awesome game so far! Then starting Batman Arkham Asylum that I paused on @ 2% completion. Then.........too many 2 list.
Sega's Aliens vs Predator
Looks amazing.
1. Demon's Soul
2. Yakuza 3
3. Bayonetta
4. Alpha Protocol
Sega's got a pretty cool lineup now, I'd probably be satisfied if they through away Sonic to focus on these guys.
I'm interested in Diablo 3, and Dragon Age Origins on PC, as far as console gaming, Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth, Dragon Quest 9,
I try not to get hyped for games anymore. They almost all fail to live up to expectations.
Nintendo hasn't done anything truly 'Awesome' since Metroid Prime, Sony already shit all over themselves with releasing the PSP/PS3 at ridiculous prices with no software, Microsoft still employs Peter Molyneux...enough said, Konami thinks Metal Gear Solid 15 Tactical Grid Pog Battles is what people want, Capcom probably has Megaman XXVII VS Street Fighter 5.1947593 in the works, Square Enix still thinks Cinematic Anime & RPGs are fundamentally linked by design, Blizzard only sees 'murlocs' in their designs.
Fuck it!
Well, 4 of the 5 classes were announced, Monk, Witch Doctor, Wizard & Barbarian. No Pali announced, I smell uber backlash if they don't at least include a Holy Knight class, but what's already been shown leaves it unknown as to weather the last one will be Melee or Ranged in nature. So...Who knows? Blizzard has developed a habit of shitting on Diablo fans.
Free online play? Of course. Will it be tied to battle.net with no LAN support? Of course. (Starcraft 2 pointed out their opinion on that matter.)
It probably won't suck, but already as a Diablo fan first, and WoW fan second, I'm still pissed off at the massive list of complaints put forward already. They're legitimate complaints. It sucks that the original Devs for Diablo made Hellgate London and that sank overnight, but it sucks worse that they've been ousted for the World of Warcraft designers.
I'll love it, and hate it for how different it should have been. Hopefully the announcement of "No Diablo 3 in 2010" from blizzard was a tactic to beef up the awesome rumor that's been kicking around for a while, that D3 will be released "Christmas of 2009" The graphics are already dated enough, a 2011 release is crazy IMO.
Really looking forward to the new 2D sonic game, interested to see how it turns out.
Modern Warfare 2
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Super Street Fighter IV (I'm a sucker)
Tatsunoko Vs Capcom
Edit: ^^^ Awesome awesome awesome avatar tanegashima ^^^
I hope Blizzard will make a TRUE sequel to Warcraft 3... But it will not happen probably since the story continued in World of Warcraft which I will...never...play.
And we've been getting far too much RTS-games lately.
Speaking of RTS: I am truly interested in C&C4 :o
But furthermore I'll be a sucker for Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, Alan Wake, Max Payne 3, Crysis 2, Risen, Deus Ex 3, Thief 4, Doom 4, Prey 2, Duke Nukem Forever (if it ever releases), and last but not least: Microsoft Train Simulator 2, which has been shelved AGAIN.
I guess I haven't passed my judgement Diablo 3 yet...... It looks OK and I can see how little pieces of Diablo 2 are shining through. Namely the desert environment. I just have a feeling that they may pretty it up too much but dumb it down for "Newer" gamers.
As of yet I have no problem with Character choices. The Barbarian and Wizard are from the Diablo 1 & 2 and the reintroduction of the Monk archetype is a good idea.
Wasn't there a Monk in the Diablo 1 Expansion pack?
I don't know what to think of the Witch Doctor though.....Me being a Necromancer junkie from the previous game you can imagine that I was very disappointed they didn't bring him back. I can understand why thought. He was not a very popular character to play. I am happy however that they got rid of the cheap ass Amazon archetype. They were SO over powered in dueling that it would be ridiculous to even attempt to attack one. Long range Bullshit. I hate hunters in WoW too.
Let's hope for the best. Blizzard has been on a role for the past decade so I'm somewhat positive about its release.
I don't think we will see another Warcraft strategy game for quite a while. As you said WoW has completely devoured the Warcraft franchise. "Thinking" games are out of style. They want large do nothing MMO's that charge people $15 a month.
but regarding WC3, I would have like too see in the Frozen Throne Expansion to a new army but for some reason they just gave everyone new units. Which is OK but I really wanted both. The murlocs controlled really well in the Frozen throne campaign and they had some interesting units.
I'm hyped about that 2D Sonic game as well.
...But I'm on my knees begging for Shenmue 3.
I'm curious about Diablo 3 anyway. Not really looking forward to any game as I pretty much only play retro-games.
Modern Warfare 2 and Star Trek Online. I'd love a copy the Beatles: Rock Band game, but the controller's just too much hassle.
MODERN WARFARE 2, LEFT 4 DEAD 2
I'm currently feeling pretty skeptical about Ōkamiden, the sequel to Okami. Okami is becoming one of my all time favorite games, and seeing it made cute kind of makes me uneasy.
Being a big fan of Diablo, and someone trying to get into PC gaming again, I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. The visuals of the early teasers put me off, I was expecting a more gothic, dark landscape. And hell, Paladin was my main class, I'd be really miffed if they didn't include it.
Aside from those, I'm really looking forward to Bioware's newest work, Dragon Age: Origins. I'm a huge fan of Bioware's works, namely the Knights of the Old Republic games, and seeing this gets me pumped.
Looking forward to Diablo III (screw the nay sayers... those colors look great), and Doom 4 (hope it's on Earth). I was looking forward to the PS2 version of Wipeout Pure, but it looks like that's going to be a UK-only release (pricks). I'm also hoping Serious Sam 3 will be given an official announcement soon. Everyone knows Croteam is working on it, but they're staying tight lipped at the moment.
I'm awaiting Pokemon Soul Silvers English release (Shoot me)... otherwise.
I am not really waiting for anything, apart from Pier Solar of course, but when that comes out, I won't be able to buy it.
I look forwards to buying them both when I get my Christmas and Birthday money.
Zaku for Atari Lynx
I was thinking about picking up Uncharted 2, but then I remembered how much I want to get my Genesis modded.
So the games I'm hyped for right now are:
Bioshock 2 ( I hope they spent more time on the ending)
Uncharted 2
MAG
Fallout 3: Game of the year edition.
That new game that team Ico is making.
Other than that there's not much I'm really looking forward to.
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Super Street Fighter IV
Tatsunoko Vs Capcom (Preordered it already!)
Cave Story
Monster Hunter 3
Sin and Punishment 2
Just started playing Deadspace Extraction with the G/F and was pretty impressed with the first couple of levels! Loving the co-op puzzles that happen during gameplay!
It's a telling sign when most games have been delayed to avoid MW2. I simply detest Activision.
The only game I was looking forward to was Alpha Protocol and even that has been delayed. Thanks Obsidian!
Modern Warfare 2. I pre-ordered the prestige edition and I'm looking forward to having those night vision googles when I have a hard core murder in the dark game.
The new sonic game is one I'm really eager to play. Hopefully, Sega won't rape a classic again.
Yes indeed the game seems to be bright and lively. The colour tones are spot-on!
I forgot to mention one... the new MechWarrior that's being developed.
