Idea for a Space Harrier movie that popped in my head.

When i was going home from college yesterday, this idea for a Space Harrier flick hit me. Tell me what you would think of it:

Plot: The year is 2026, The U.S Army is working on creating the perfect soldier,who wouldnt need to eat or sleep and have an endless supply of air when fighting on other planets. A volunteer by the name of Harri signs on for the project. He is injected with gene enhancing formulas that enable him to run at 400 miles per hour and the immunity to pain. He is then outfitted with a new weapon called the Plasma Bolo gun and boots that enable him to levatate in the air.

The experiement goes well, the following week the earth is suddenly attacked by creatures from another universe. Led by a reptilian creature named Squilla they wreak havoc on the defensless earth. Harri is chosen to fight the alien creatures and save humanity from total destrcution.

When this popped into my head, i thought it was kinda cool and i thought what Sega fans would think of it.

(No i am not actually going to make this movie in the future, just wanted to share it.)

Just as long as it has at least a cameo of Opa opa in it, that's all I ask. And maybe in the background of the place where he gets experimented on should be a brief background scene with a red mustached scientist doing experiments on a certain Blue hedgehog. Also there should be a kick ass jet fight ala afterburner, u can never have too many jet fights. Also in the beginning the main character should be driving in his red Ferrari with his blond girlfriend across country (OUTRUN) when he accidentally hits a sign on a tight curve and rolls his car. The both eject out of the car at 170 mph, she is fine and just shakes her head a little, but he is dead and an organ Donor so they make him into Super cyborg Space Harrier man!:) Lolz

Well Squilla is the only other name i know of from the game. Squilla is the dragon creature right? (I didnt get too far in the game)

I was thinking something more like the janitor is cleaning a new weapon, but he's so stupid he mistakes glue for cleaner. :D

Most of the movie is him being drug along behind a remote controlled weapon screaming "Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttt tttttttt!!!!"

I don't know. Sounds a little too "Captain America-ish" to me. Just set it in a futuristic society and make the Space Harrier dude a badass that needs to kill wave after wave of aliens to protect his city, state, country...whatever.

I think Space Harrier works better as a parody than as a "realistic" movie. Elusive nailed it with his cast... with maybe a couple substitutions. :D

Isn't Magic Taco one of the dancers from the movie Breakin? I think he battles Turbo if I'm not mistaken.
