I visited Play n' Trade the other day o see what old games they've stocked up on. I saw that they had the full Activator set in its box like new, for 25 bucks. Ive always wanted to get this thing but Im thinking it mght be a waste of money.

It is a waste of money, the thing is worse than the power glove.
25bucks is enough for me to take it... its rather rare to my knowledge and if you don't like it, you could sell it for quite a bit bigger sum
25? fuck i'd have picked that up and ran to the register as fast as i could,
then at home I'd put on some baggy pants and hook it up for some Mortal Kombat.

... and then i'd shelve it and fondly remember those adds in EGM/Gamepro
where it was promoted as the next big thing.

Buy it use it and resell it if you don't like it.
It's worth that money for curiosity value alone, especially if it's in good shape. You probably won't get a chance like this again, so go for it.
I love quirky peripherals. 25 bucks is a bargain. I'd go for it.

I passed on one of these complete for £5 once. It was at some market or other and the thought of lugging the thing round all day & then having it take up shelf room forever once I got home didn't appeal to me at all. Furthermore, I'd look ridiculous trying to do bare knuckahs with it :p
NeoVamp was totally on to something, you gotta wear MC Hammer caliber baggy pants to get the Activator to work to its full potential.
Truthfully, Smii is on the nose. That bad boy is a waste of money & space.
Maybe with lots of training you could get good with it like that kid in the Wizard who was bad ass with the power glove. Ive always wanted to try the Activator even though I hear it plays like shit.

Or don't. Totally a waste of time. I guess complete in box, it's worth it for collecting, but definitely not worth buying if you want to play anything with it.
