Anyone buy one yet? Was it worth it to you?
I'm debating on either PS3 or Xbox360 to buy next, I'm not into the Wii.

I bought one as a secondary ps3. I love it. I have a dedicated theater room which I use the slim in and its much cooler and quieter than my 60 gig unit....I also like that it does bitstream audio that allows my receiver to get a true Dolby HD......I really like it.
I just saw one up close at BestBuy the other day. I like the new look. Still not paying for it though but for everyone else who was thinking of getting one this is a perfect time to buy the only good console of this generation + a blueray player.
With incredible games like uncharted 2 and blu ray movies dropping in price, its a good way to go.
Boycott Sony and they're garbage systems!
So far, none of their systems seem to have long-lasting libraries. Is there anything anyone wants to go back and play on PS1 or PS2?
I have one and am happy with it.
Garbage wise I don't think anything can compare to Microsoft's nuclear meltdown of a console.
They should seriously start replacing those RROD lights with the proper led placement.

Playstation has always had the most diverse games on it 1 and 2. 3 However I am not impressed at all. MGS4 played it, and the charm of the first one was nearly non-existant. Uncharted, cool physics, but actual gameplay was kind of lacking. Overall I'd use one as a 2nd generation Sega Dreamcast stand.
Probably gonna get a Slim pretty soon. Demon's Souls, LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet & Clank, inFamous, God of War...
I bought one the day it came out. It doesn't run as hot as my 60gb launch unit, and it freezes way less.
There's not much to really say. Sure there's some upscaling stuff it can do, but I don't have that sort of setup to take advantage of it.
Is it opposite day? It must be.
PS1 and PS2 were (and still are in the PS2's case) the runaway smash hits of their generation. Sure, no one's going to go back and play NBA Live 99, but holy christ on a cracker did those systems set the standard in their heyday. The only reason I could see for not playing them is because most of the games have a modern sequel that encompases and exceeds the original on PS1 or 2. PS1 and PS2 might not have the charm of the early Nintendo and all of Sega's consoles (excluding the Saturn, a nap is more fun than that thing), but when PS1 came out, Nintendo officially went down the shit slide to hell and Sega just had a blip via the Dreamcast (but man, what a blip it was!). And Microsoft...well... "ZOMGZ, WE HAVE TEH HALOZZZZ! ...and...ummmm..." More than anything, PS1 was sort of a 3D stepping stone, but PS2 is still the best system ever made IMO.
how well is the ventilation? If it's freezing, you probably aren't giving it enough breathing room.
I still play a LOT of PS1 titles... just on my PSP instead of the PS1/PS2/PS3.
