You guys know any good sites? I have too much money and if I don't start spending it soon I'm going to be forced to either start burning piles of cash or begin throwing it out my windows while driving.

Look around on Craigslist theres almost always someone selling some, Ebay also has some like this.
EDIT: Most arcades usually have cabinets that they're trying to get rid of also.
If you actually live in NYC, you should be tripping over arcades for sale as they no doubt used tons back in the day (and still probably do) at places like laundromats and other places that involve lots of waiting.
As for the cash, you don't use banks? I have thousands saved up/invested, doesn't mean I need to spend it :?
Local advertisements and auctions are your best bet. If you buy online you will pay more in shipping then what the cabinet is worth. Hopefully you have a truck or know someone with one also.
no prob, bob:

If he lives in NYC (do you Edge? you never clarified. What borough?), it would probably cost no more than $30-$40 to bring it home if the truck rental is $20.
Cool, thanks!
Trucks? Rich people like myself use Hovercrafts......
I don't live in New York City nor is there this magically grove of Arcade cabinets you speak about. The only places that have arcade cabinets now are Dave & Busters.....and all of those cabinets are "mostly" brand new, ranging from $10,000-$20,000 a pop and they are definitely not selling them any time soon.
Thousands? I remember when I had just 4 digits in my bank account. I think I was 12.
Well if you don't live in NYC, then obviously my statement doesn't apply to you. Any large city is bound to have arcades floating around somewhere, they may not say "FOR SALE! ZOMG!" but if you ask, they well might be.
So you have millions then?
last I checked it is still "thousands" up until $999,999. So you have more than that saved? why aren't you just having them hand delivered by Gary Coleman on horseback then?
I've got 5 digits thank you very much, and once I'm done with my degree it'll quickly jump to 6.
You could always buy an X-Arcade Cabinet, they look pretty sweet.
Personally i have a cabinet that was converted to a NeoGeo setup in the early 90's,
took me quite some time to restore/fix/etc, but now it pretty sweet.
True. ;)
It was a joke. Silly.
You know I was looking at that earlier today! if I had an extra PC to put in their I would buy it. It's definitely a short cut compared to refurbishing a old hallow cabinet.
I'm still jealous though. Do you have any pics of your set up?
^Comedy Fail.
Knowing that he will never be too poor to buy fresh tin-foil for his skullcap would ease everybody's mind around here, I'm sure.
Build a Mame cab yourself.

You could always have a go at what I wanted to try:

aside from the outer profile it's all rectangular shapes. Any ol jigsaw could do the job. Now that I've looked into it more, CNC really isn't the way to go with this job (unless the acrylic route ends up appealing to me). I think what I'll most likely do is go to Kinkos and print the outer panels to scale on one of their gigantor printers and trace it onto some MDF. Then, temporarily clamp the pieces two pieces for the outside and cut the traced profile. Screw it together and instant arcade! Add paint and enjoy. Then, you can use any CRT TV you like, any game system you like, and any joystick you like. You could even paint it like a Neo Geo if you wanted to.
Well if u want a cab...

What do you think? 1000 bucks for MK 1,2 and 3?
[edit] Never mind, it looks like MKII cab with three linked boards or some other contraption.:(
no it's not, its an MK II cab and he's saying he has the other boards that you can hook up if you want to play them instead. Too much for something to convert to a MAME machine IMO. You could easily make your own arcade for probably about $500 if you have a place to do it and a jig saw.
