I think of it as being paid to take them.
Remember that all of that came off of one bundle which included many more games and systems. The profit I made selling the rest of the stuff was around $100. Keeping the PS2 and all the games was an additional bonus.

...but you didn't, it's more like you helped someone sell his games on eBay and he paid you in addition to giving you some games for helping out. It's not like you bought it and immediately sold the rest of it to your next door neighbor the second it came in, you had to do some work.
Depends on how you classify "work," I suppose.
according to Merriam-Webster: "activity in which one exerts strength or faculties to do or perform something"
so yes, you did work. Was it fun? perhaps. Did you receive more than you could've working your normal job for the same span of time? maybe. Still work though.
