Sounds like two solid plans. So I'm guessing Ed Roski is going to have to look elsewhere for a team then.
2TD's, 4 yard average on 24 carries for 96 yards, he moves into the third in all time touchdowns, all against the 9th ranked rush defense. Beautiful. Maybe the good news sparked this rebirth? I hoped he continues like this, shit was so cash.
River wasn't too shabby himself, 20 for 25, 231 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Everything just seemed to click in this game. Well, except the defense but that interception by Cromartie sealed the ending. Bonus, the Broncos choked against Redskins so next weeks game decides the lead for the AFC West.
Also, The Colts-Patriots game was epic.
Bravo Colts. Great 4th quarter.
I really enjoy anytime the Colts beat the Patriots, even though this year it is the Saints I fear the most, beating NE is always awesome. I was worried, we have had a lot of injuries, but still finding ways to win. It's been a great couple of days starting with the Pacers beating the Celts, they really needed that win and they played really well. The Celtics looked a little tired and beat up, I know Peirce was not healthy with a bum knee, but they are still tough and we played well. I think they probably thought they could just show up and beat us, which was foolish as the first game of last year I remember the Pacers came out and kicked the crap out of Boston in a blowout. After that game I thought maybe we do have a decent ball club, then the rest of the season happened and I know better now. Knowing the Pacers they will probably get their asses kicked by the Nets on Tuesday.
Looks like things are getting more serious for the Chargers and San Diego:
Quote:
The city of San Diego’s downtown redevelopment agency is poised to hire a New York consultant for $160,000 to study how to pay for a downtown football stadium.
The hiring of sports finance consultant Mitchell Ziets and Evolution Media Capital LLC is a sign San Diego is moving quickly three weeks after a rare private meeting between Mayor Jerry Sanders and Chargers president Dean Spanos to discuss the team’s desire for a new stadium.
The Chargers and the city are eyeing land east of Petco Park that includes Tailgate Park and 10 acres of property bounded by 14th, K and 16th streets and Imperial Avenue.
Chargers special counsel Mark Fabiani, the point person for seven years on a stadium site search, called Ziets’ hiring significant because of how quickly it happened and because of what the consultant has to do.
“It’s what you do on any stadium project,” Fabiani said. “You figure out what possible sources of revenue are out there, from the stadium and from other sources. You try to cobble together enough funding to make it work.”
Fabiani said yesterday that a downtown stadium could be built for less than $800 million because parking, freeway access and public transportation already exist in the area.
In the past, he has indicated that the team would be willing to spend $200 million on a stadium and that the NFL might be willing to lend the team an additional $100 million, but that revenue from ancillary development — including offices, retail and condominiums — would play a big part in a place where public subsidies are a tough sell.
The site being contemplated is currently home to a nearly 8-acre bus yard owned by the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System, and privately owned parcels totaling less than 2 acres. An earthquake fault running under the five-acre city-owned Tailgate Park likely makes construction possible only on its eastern edge, Fabiani said.
Team architects visited the site Wednesday and said building a stadium there would be challenging but possible, Fabiani said.
The audit committee of the Centre City Development Corp., the city’s downtown redevelopment arm, will be briefed on the hiring tomorrow at a public meeting starting at noon at its offices on 401 B St. The full board will vote on the contract at 1:30 p.m.
In a move meant to keep the contract private, the firm is being hired as a subconsultant by CCDC’s corporate counsel, Best, Best & Krieger LLP.
CCDC board Chairman Fred Maas said confidentiality is essential because of the firm’s proprietary investment banking experience. Maas said a study could take 120 days.
Maas called the consultant’s hiring “a good indication of the sincerity of the mayor and the team and us as well trying to find a solution, a resolution, to the site.”
Well....huh. L.A won't be making a play for a team until the season ends so if this deal gets closed, then it's bye bye Los Angeles Chargers. In some unimportant news, In my fantasy football league, I'm up against the one of two undefeated players. It's three in total but I'm one of them so looks like my undefeated record is in jeopardy. So the drama.
Just because it's my favorite TD celebration ever:

He may have a career low in total yards (only 540), but one thing's for sure, the guy knows how to score. EXCEPT the fumble! That killed me. Like I said, in the beginning of the year, everybody was down on LT, saying he was basically done. At the time, I made a bet with someone who said that he wouldn't get to 9 TDs. Well, after two on Sunday he's now sitting at 8. I soooooo wanted him to score that third TD so I could call the guy and rub it in his face. Looks like I'm going to have to wait a little longer :D

You know LT is going to get his. Chargers are playing pretty well this season and they are looking like one of the best teams in the league. I haven't seen what their schedule looks like but I have watched a few of their games and they play hard. They always prove to be a pretty deadly opponent for my colts, especially in the goddamn playoffs. I don't really fear them so much this season, not that they are not playing well, but colts D is looking a lot better than it has in the past, they actually blitz a little this season.
Colts should have a pretty tough one against the Titans next, who have been on a streak after starting out pretty rough. I was bitching about them not playing Vince when they were 0-2. I still remember watching that guy in college, he was a fucking maniac. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us.
I'm glad Indy won't have to play NO this season, we would probably get whipped as we are down a few key players like Freeney, Sanders, Gonzo, etc. I liked the way they handled the Pats, made it look easy. Credit their defensive pressure and their O line. Brett F might be MVP this season, but Drew is definitely the man. Hopefully if we happen to get to the SB and have to play either NO or the Vikings our dudes will have healed (not B Sanders he is done for the year) and barring other injuries I think we would stand a decent chance. There is a lot of talk about trying to go 16-0, but I don't see it happening. Caldwell has said he will rest some starters for the last couple season games. I fear the dreaded bye week also. In my mind (best case scenario) I like to think we might go to the Superbowl undefeated vs the also undefeated Saints. That would be an epic slobber knocker. Who knows though, colts might tank the rest of the season. I expect NO to have a better shot at going undefeated, their schedule makes it seem fairly possible.
It's hard to fear any team when you're 11-0 :D
12-0 now:). Man this season has been awesome.
Well, I still can't be convinced that the Lions from this year are actually better than last years Lions.
I know their record is better, but this team just lays down so fast, especially this week. They need to draft all linemen, whether O or D lineman until like the 6th round. Jeff Sackus (really Backus, but we always call him Jeff Sackus) sucks balls and there is hardly anyone else of note on the front lines.
I figured a month would be a good amount of time before a double post. So without further delay, here is the most awesome video ever created:
My god. That dance was so awesome, one of my balls disappeared into another dimension.
