Well if there's nothing else we can agree on, we can certainly agree Super Mario World is the best Mario game ever.

I prefer the original version, where Luigi is Luigi, and not WaLuigi (warped Luigi)
I hate his redrawn sprites. He's supposed to look as close to Mario as possible.

IMHO the only game that ever got Luigi 100% right was Super Smash Bros. Melee
His voice, his height, his head, and his white outfit are all 100% perfect for Luigi.
The only way he could be better, is if he had a real dash attack, and if his side+B was the cape.
But then...he'd be OP (not really)

For those interested, it helps ALOT to have the propeller hat when facing the final castle. It is actually really difficult to run under bowser so you're better off just wall jumping and propeller capping over him. On that note, the Mega Man X style wall jumping was a really cool addition.

I only get about 1 hour or less of actual alone game time a day! And I've been busy with Tales Of Monkey Island! And of actual play time.. I say it took me about 4 hours...

Original Version?? What other version of Super Mario World is there?

The Super Mario All Star + World version, and the Super Mario Advance version.
Luigi has a super ugly ass redrawn sprite, completely sucks for me since I play as Luigi usually.

Both.
Which makes it sort of a good thing that I got ripped off when I bought SM All Stars, and the guy told me it had SMW on it, and then it turned out it didn't.
So I had to buy Super Mario World later.

Of course I was super pissed I got Donkey Kong Country with my SNES, a game I would have never had the fortune of playing otherwise.
Now I can look back and say it's a good thing, because I actually got to experience Donkey Kong Country, and get perfect completion data and all. I would have missed out, assumed the game sucked, and been an ignorant fool otherwise.
IMHO DKC2 and 3 were fail though. Kind of the same feeling I have for Vectorman 2.

Well, not to put this thread back on the rails, I recommend Boom Blox for a family game. Everyone who comes over with their kids who wants to play the Wii gets an introduction to it and they all like it, though at varying levels.
