Yes, if someone created a game engine that could handle all the events of all the games, then you would just have to develop the levels via a script/map editor. Maybe some interpreted logic script for bosses. It's still quite a bit of work, but since there are quite a few megaman fans out there, there's a higher chance that someone might do this. It also means then could create new games using the engine (or even Megaman 7-9). It's not bad idea at all and I'm a Megaman fan... but probably not *that* much of a fan. If ElBarto finishes his Genesis video/sound library for GCC, then this will be much more of a reality (GCC means coding in C for the Genesis). I really like this idea though :)
I mean the NES Mega Man Games..I prolly would be easy for someone who knew the Genesis & NES inside & out
I wonder if somebody can make a program that can converts NES games to Genesis games. That'll be pretty cool.

No Source Code = not an easy job.
There already are three and a half MM games on MD/G. Plus an unofficial port of Megaman X.
In case of Rockman Megaworld aka Wily Wars I disagree. It's an excellent port of the first three MM games with rockin YM2612 music.
A MM/NES emulator for MD/G+SCD would look like this btw:

so you could as well just play it on NES, or Wii, or Dreamcast, or PC.
If somebody really does make an NES emulator on the Genesis, I doubt it will use 40cell mode.
I'm kidding I love all 2D MM games before the PSX
What's 40cell Mode??
A nes emulator would be a very welcome addition to the Sega library,
I mean who wouldn't want all their favorite Nes games on 1 flashcard on their favorite system.
but the Genesis just doesn't have the cpu power to emulate the Nes correctly.
(prove me wrong by writing one guys! :p )
I think you'd be better off by reverse engineering all 6 roms and recreating the source code.
then you could have 1 dedicated interpretor that will run just those 6 roms.
But i'm no programmer, so what do i know.
heh, I'd prefer a GG emulator (that magically remaps the colors to the MD palette) ^ ^
That's all I'm asking..But I think Capcom lost the source codes for the NES versions :(Quote:

Well I hear they lost the GB code..that's why they couldn't do a MM collection for the GBA, or Capcom didn't want to do it for the GBA
What do you mean by "reverse engineering" and "Recreating"
