Hey guys, Mega Man 10 is announced. Sorry I've been posting alot of gamespot announcement links lately. You guys didn't seem to like Greenday : Rockband so I wanted to make up. Think of it as a Christmas gift.

I'm not fond of the nes style presentation. It's lazy. There's already enough 8-bit Mega Man games. They should remake it in the MM8 style or at least something different.
They should continue the MMX franchise with an entry that is based off MMX1. Kinda like how MM9 is based off MM2. :D
I actually think it's the opposite of lazy. Due to the self-imposed limitations, a lot goes into the level designs and creativity. And it's just great fun! Some games just work best under certain standards, and I think Mega Man works best as an 8-bit game.Quote:

I welcome more 8bit megaman games. Graphics were never the original series' selling point for me.
Still, at this point I would prefer that they open up part 10 to include a comprehensive level editor feature. (or something else, radically different.)
And why not include all of the music, from all titles in the entire franchise in a toolbox for the levels.
There's no reason they can't stick to MM10 with mods and expansions as long as they backbone it with good libraries.
DO IT CAPCOM!
Actually, there's a lot of stuff in MM9 that would never have been possible on a real NES (or at least, there would have been tons of flicker). In that respect, they loosely based MM9 on the original MM2 on NES. They took some liberties so it isn't nearly as impressive.Quote:

It was cute the first time Capcom, but the 8-Bit retrograde ain't gonna cut it again. See, now they're just going back to what they were doing in the early '90's; releasing 8-Bit MM games year after year that were virtually indistinguishable to the casual eye. Look at what Konami is doing with their "Rebirth" re-makes. Why couldn't Capcom bump up the graphics to 16-Bit quality, at least on par with "Mega Man X"?
Its going to suck even worse if they don't fuckin' tie the original series w/the X series and keep stringing us along for another installment. If that's the case then they shouldn't have even bothered with 9.
