Thanks for the link, Jake! I'm feeling pretty keen on having a Gen mobile. That would be awesome.
The SNES seems cool as well but I'm not too sure it would get much use from me. It's not that I dislike playing SNES, I just don't have many games.
Damn that thing's ugly. Hopefully they come out with a smaller, better looking version. Also, I don't know how good that flip screen would hold up. It looks really cheap.
I'll still probably get one though.
Yobo should come out with a home console cloe system with that wireless functionality. (unless I've missed something andthey already do have one)
wireless like how? Wireless controllers, Wireless cartridge-slot, What?
I'm pretty sure it's wireless controllers.
I think this SNES clone looks great, even if it's Game Gear size and has mono only sound (It does use hardware emulation instead of software from what I saw at the Ben Hek forums). If I do get $60 to rebuy a SNES, I might buy one of these.
Wow, for everything that unit offers it's easily worth the sixty bones. Looks like I'll have to be picking one of these up in the not-too-distant future.
i planning on buying this online i wonder if this handheld illegal
Weren't most of the best SNES games ported in some fashion to the GameBoy Advance?
well there's already been plenty of SNES clones. And, no, it doesn't say SNES on the box since SNES is more or less a trademark/copyrighted name of the format. Usually it will just say 16-bit or SFC (super famicom), etc. and have a picture that resembles the correct cartridge. The only clones that get yanked from shelves are the ones that include bootlegged ROMs.
This thing looks pretty badass, with a few notable shortcomings. I need to get one, as I've always wanted a portable SNES but I might wait to see if someone makes a smaller model.
Ugh. Why don't we in Europe get these kinds of clones. :( What really killed it for me is that it can't play SFC games which also means the European SNES cart form factor is also out of the question...
Sucks, but good idea nonetheless. Hopefully they bring out an improved one for multiregion compatibility.
Saw one at the retro store in my area. Tried it out. It looks cool, might pick one up.
