Vitura Hamster on current gen systems

People, I swear, I've seen today a demo of a game that looked very much like Virtua
Hamster with current gen graphics. There was a big screen hanging in a games-shop
which was showing the game - a rat riding very fast through tubes on something
(maybe running on it's own, but very fast. I was too far away to see if the rat was
really riding something). The rat also jumped out of the tube, to fly into another one.
There were also sections of the game where you just run around an environment,
gathering stars.

This is so freaking awesome, does anyone of you know any details about it? Is it just a
shameless port of the idea, or is it Mr. Quakenbushs own work?
