I gave $40 worth of toys to Toys for Tots. My wife and I are usually just are content to eat cookies and enjoy the day off.

I didn't get/give anything shit this year. This Christmas has been a good Christmas to be me.

I got a ruptured heating pipe for christmas! Hooray! :(

Ah well, thank god I'm driving home for christmas today, so my neighbors will have to deal with that stuff and hopefully it'll be fixed by the time I'm back.

I spent too much money to list everything I've bought for my wife and parents.

I bought a 250GB HDD ($40 at Frys) for my PS3 yesterday. The backup and install took about 2.5 hours.

I had an interesting Christmas and can't be stuffed listing everything I gave.

I got:
4GB of RAM for my laptop
50 CD-Rs (I like to burn stuff for the Sega CD)
50 DVD-Rs (No idea how I'll use them)
A CD case with 48 slots (Oh, hm, I wonder)
A cordless Laser mouse
Some sort of weird Playboy deodorant (Gee, thanks for complimenting how I smell)

However, the below gifts I never expected or wanted.

I got a freaking 250gb Playstation 3 with Resident Evil 5 and Sega Rally... I don't see myself using it (I'm too broke to afford games for it too, and obviously piracy is impossible).

I mean, I've not played any of the previous RE games (I'd like the story to make sense) and Sega has been on a bad streak recently... sure, I'd have wanted a PS3 if it had PS2 support... but it's just a Slim.

The RAM is brilliant though!

I asked for household goods this christmas, and I got some. Someone gave me an easybake oven (not kidding) and I'm going to donate it, along with some old clothing when I get back (all in great shape, just out of style) and I got my parents two $50 giftcards.

I got some cargo pants/shorts for my dad (more of a shared gifted from my mom as well).

A logitech extreme 3D juystick for my little brother. (found a great deal on it boxed one at good will a month or so ago, though his PC''s out of commission atm and we could both use new gamepads -or a USB adaptor for one of our console pads)

Umm, I didn't really get anything for my mom, other than some things I promised to help with (removing wallpaper and such), she just got a compact mobile dustbuster for her car though. (from my dad)

And I got Pitfall II for the VCS (which I'd asked for) and Journey Escape, which was a surprise. I didn't even know about that game, I'd been talking about a retro-esque PC game with a similar theme (with Journey) that my freind had several years ago, but I didn't even know about the 2600 game. -both games are still in the mail.

That and some socks, which were good as I could use some. (starting to wear holes though a lot of mine ;) )


My little prother also got Kirby Super Star for SNES and a new (sealed) N64 gameshark V3.3 with LCD display. (our old 3.3 is unreliable and didn't have the :CD display for what that's worth)


Not really a gift, but yesterday I found a genesis model 1 (pre-tmss) at goodwill with 1 sega 6-button and power adaptor for $15, so I picked that up, plus jungle book and Garfield.
I had no 6-button, the psu on my other model 1 is kind of messed up plus my first came with a CD and no expansion port cover (so this one is more convienient if I'm not usign the CD) and the sound from this one's headphone jack is cleaner plus the RF modulator works better -significant since I have yet to rig up a a/v cable of s-video mod and RF is the only thing accessible right now in out entertainment system -we don't have our Genesis set-up perminently, same for the NES)

Got an Intellivision I system and 5 game carts. Sweet.:D

I ended up ordering all of my own gifts on ebay, sending it to my mom, and having her wrap it and pay me back for it in full. An easy year for both of us, as she doesn't need to go out to shop and I get exactly what I want.

My favorite gift out of them was Golden Axe 2. It's GA1 with all it's flaws fixed. So why is GA1 usually considered the superior of the two?

I need to get the fuck out of this neighborhood.

Gave: The Orange Box (PS3) for my brother, Movie tickets for my mum n' stepdad, Burnable DVD's for my neighbour (also close friends), A ceramic white pot that looks like a happy little dude or whatnot, An auction-magazine for my grandma & 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the..' to my best friend. Haven't got money for the rest (which i'm luckily don't see til' i've gotten cash.).

Got: Cupholders in some sort of glass, clothes (loads of it), ashtray, loads of food n' beer back home from the family christmas event, candleset & money.

- I don't even remember what I got for my friends. I do remember I got one of them an NES w/ a couple of games. I think I just got the others games for whatever consoles they had or gift certificates.
- I got my girlfriend a Wii and some games, but we ended up returning it since we are most likely going to ignore it over the 360. We ended up getting a DSi, Phantasy Star Zero and some other games I think. Which is great, since we can both play PSO now.
I can't remember anything else right now though. Great Christmas :D

Nah, don't feel bad. I always put aside money at the end of each month for Christmas shopping. Plus, I was looking for bargains since last December.
