The new cords have a GFCI built in, but yes, they obviously don't address the underlying problem.

My cousin used to own the one with the RCA jacks.

I always find these PS1's to be so dirt cheap it isn't even funny.

I passed on one at the flea market today for $10, now that I think of it maybe I should have gotten it. Maybe next week. iirc it didn't have the RCA jacks on the back, just the multi-I/O port. It did have the parallel port.
