We better still be getting Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom.
Oh noes! I never saw this coming!Quote:
“The Wii is still an important part of sales, but growth is on both [Sony and Microsoft's] platforms. The Wii console is very much a family commitment... for us, Capcom, the future is the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.”
yes we are still getting it :) just think that and monster hunter 3 will be the last....
haha I think we all did but some of us Wii owners were in denial...
hopefully we'll get a few more classics from the old dog yet! I see EA have brought the rights to NBA JAM and have got the orginal lead dev back in to work on the exclusive Wii only game (exclusive until it doesn't sell and they port it to 360/ps3)
REPENT REPENT REPENT!!!! THE END IS NIGH!!!!!
*rings the church bell*
I was reallly looking forward to Monster Hunter. I have a friend who was going to go into that with me, and now it's delayed. :(
I still have hopes for Epic Mickey and Galaxy 2.
Interesting, Capcom has been with Nintendo for so long, and now they want nothing to do with their hardware, oh well.
So one guy from Capcom's French division says this and suddenly it's over between Capcom and Nintendo? Wake me up when it's somebody important, like Capcom Japan says something, otherwise it's non-news.Quote:

Doesn't Capcom already focus more on 360 and PS3 than Wii? They really haven't done a huge number of Wii games, and most of the Wii games they've released have been kind of quick throw-togethers. I mean, I liked Umbrella Chronicles a lot, but it was obviously a very quick and cheap game to develop. Also, Dead Rising reeked of a lack of effort. I'm still a little miffed about how poor that turned out.
I've never thought of Capcom as being "in bed" with Nintendo or whatever. At least, not since the 16-bit days.
Tat vs. Crap looks like a Dreamcast game too.
Good times we live in.
Graphics haven't grown since 1998's Dreamcast.
I'm not serious, since obviously you can get great graphics on a PC.
...and arguably PS3/360 but I just haven't seen anything like Crysis quality on there yet.
Next next gen systems will probably be where it's at with the graphics!
...but then the PC will be too.
I wish consoles would die, and we could get complete integration into the PC+TV combo, and then we don't have to have this "exclusivity" crap we have now, since both consoles are capable of the same shit, and all versions of a game wind up being the same, or the same but noticeably better on PC.
I guess Nintendo would still be doing it's own insanity, but, at least we'd be back to having two worlds, instead of four.
Sega (since I have to always have a plan for their come back) could then compete with Nintendo for most insanity.
Traditional controller games would then be PC only, pushed by great exclusives like Gran Turismo 35 and Halo 16, and then two insanity platforms would complete.
Nintendo with 3D "Sega activator" graphics systems (your console is laid out all over the living room) and Sega with "thought controlled" game controllers, and brain sensing AI, and the optional feature of beaming the visuals directly to your brain. (controversial, since that's an invasion of brain privacy, possibly causing lawsuits, and fake injury claims)
Wow those times aren't that far away.
It does now!
Thanks for the edit idea.
I knew I was missing something.
I hope Capcom will still support the Wii Virtual Console. There are far too many Capcom arcade and console games that I've been waiting for to show up on the service.
