Beat Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but did not finish. I still have to get full synchronization on all missions and buy/restore shops and monuments. I probably won't do this because it's tedious and boring.

Lastcallhall: Is the new Splatterhouse any good? I'm kinda tempted to get it JUST for the classic Splatterhouse games included in it, but since you have to play through the game to get them, I just wanted to know if it's gonna be an entertaining blood-and-gore-fest or a repetitive one sorta a la MadWorld
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon. Very sad but beautiful game, despite being simple and a little clunky. Probably my top Wii game.
Just beat The Addams Family on the SNES. Not a bad game, though the bad jumping can be annoying.
Personally I enjoyed it, because I knew going in what the game was going to be. The storyline is something straight out of a classic horror movie, and all the characters are over the top and are acted out in the same manner. The game amounts to a fairly long beat em up, with very little variety in stage design, but despite this, I feel that in doing so, the developers were able to stay true to the spirit of the original Spatterhouse series. I breezed through the game in about 10 hours on the Savage setting (medium), and I just unlocked the Brutal (hard) mode, so I'm going through that now, and its significantly tougher. Luckily, the game allows you to keep your upgrades from your previous game to take with you into the new one, so that helps out a bit.
All in all, it's not for everyone, but it is for fans of the original Splatterhouse, if that makes any sense. If I had any complaints about the game it would have to be the camera can sometimes be finicky, and there's a level towards the end (9 or 10, one of the two) where the stage boundaries go all haywire, and you wind up walking in place unless you move in a different direction. Oh, and if you get this for the 360, INSTALL IT ONTO YOUR HARD DRIVE! Probably the worst aspect of this game is the fact you have to wait a good 1-2 minutes (at least that's what it feels like) reloading the level every time you die. It's still a PITA on the HDD, but it's significantly less time (20-30 seconds).
31. Anet Futatabi (Mega CD) (aka Annet, Anetto, Annette)
Just beat this on Easy, then on Hard. Not impressed.
32. Toys: Let The Toy Wars Begin! (Genesis)
This game got a lot easier (and more enjoyable) once my girlfriend pointed out the rooftop powerups in the last level. I think I'd like to review this for the site sometime.
33. El Viento (Genesis)
Finished off the trilogy, completely out of order. There's plenty to like about this game, but it forfeits a lot of that goodwill with the exceedingly annoying bats in the last stage. Final boss isn't so hot either. Up until then, the game was pretty fun. It reminds me a little bit of Krion Conquest for NES, but it's much brisker and weirder.
Just as with Annet Futatabi, lots of people say it's really hard, but I thought most of it was fairly easy -- it took me less than five hours of gameplay to beat.
Wait, there's a trilogy?!

I've currently beaten Contra Hard Corps with Fang. Only got through 2 endings :( (damn you 3 lives )
No. 12: Atomic Runner - Sega Genesis

It feels so awesome when you beat any 8-32 bit title. It's like getting an 'A' on an exam. I love it. I feel like a king now. :D
[EDIT] Make that 12 (one game a month, lol). I don't think I'll be beating any more games this year.
End of year update!

Finished on Legendary. The campaign wasn't that different from the others, and considering this is the fourth game, I expected more. Overall, Halo 3's was better. What saves this from being forgettable and shoots it to "awesome" is the awesome firefight mode (again, not original for the series), and the leveling up. I really wish more games let you acquire experience in the single-player mode to access more gear and stuff. It adds so much more life to the game.

I'd already beaten this on the PS3, but it rocked so much I wanted to play through it again. I got the new Clap Trap DLC, so that's still being done, but the main game was finished. I have the full 1000/1000 achievements from the main list, but I still need lots from the DLC.

Finally beaten on Legendary. A lot better the second time around! I don't think I'll be getting any of the MP achievements though, for obvious reasons.

Finished on normal difficulty. Great little RTS that was quite user friendly. I'd love to co-op it sometime, but no one I know has it. http://www.the-nextlevel.com/tnl/ima...stom/frown.gif
I'll go back and mop up some achievements, though I won't get them all. Now I've finished all teh Halos!

Finished it again, this time as pro-registration. Not as bad as I remembered, but the lack of classic comic love makes me a sad panda. I don't like the adherence to a comic storyline either. I'd rather play an original story. Still, I'll go back and finish it on Legendary with my powered-up characters. Hulk, Thor, Storm, Fury = unstoppable!

Beaten with all endings. Aside from the horrendous bugginess of it all, the game was quite good. I sincerely hope they patch this, because as it is, it's simply inexcusable. I couldn't sit down to play once without it locking up on me, and the characters falling through or getting stuck in the environment, companions disappearing when I exit a location (only to reappear randomly later on), etc. was just too much.

Wizard Fire

Finished on the Data East Arcade Classics set for Wii. Not a bad game, but definitely a quarter cruncher. It doesn't hold a candle to Capcom's D&D games.

I had to take screen shots for the Sega-16 article, and I ended up playing through to the end. It's watered down, but it's still a decent play. You definitely need to go on hard more though, as normal is a breeze, and easy only lets you play half the game. Hard is also the only way to see the real ending.
Heh, figures I'd beat my record of completed games from last year with a Genesis title.

Spent Christmas Eve at a friend's house with a modded Xbox, and we had a retro marathon!

No achievements, but it didn't cost $10 either! I was going to buy this on XBLA, but having played it again, I'm glad I didn't. The stages suck, the enemies are the same damn robot with different colors, and the gameplay is just boring as hell.

MUCH better than X-Men, though that only means that it didn't suck quite as much. At least there was variety in the enemies and stages. Lots of the characters look like they're middle-aged and overweight, but the game was decent enough.

Secret Spy is a lesser-known Data East game, and for good reason. I kind of wants to be Rolling Thunder but doesn't quite know how. I like the Bad Dudes graphical style (same engine?), and it was ok, if not a bit too repetitive.
34. True Lies (Game Boy)
(mostly played on a GBA, which makes it a lot easier on the eyes)
Overhead-style "walk-'n-gun" along the same lines as the Genesis game. A little superficial but still a fun way to spend some of my Christmas downtime.
There are working passwords for every level, but for some reason the game only issues them in alternate levels...? Not sure whether I'm missing something, or it's just a "let's artificially increase the difficulty level to stretch this fairly short game" tactic.
True Lies seems to have had unusually good luck as far as movie tie-in games go; perhaps I'll take on the Genesis version in 2011.
Wrapping up 2010!

51. PC Denjin Punkic Cyborgs (PC Engine)
52. Heavy Weapon (PSN)
53. Fantasy Zone (Famicom)
54. Layer Section / Rayforce (Saturn)
55. Super Nova (SNES)
56. Shoot 1UP (XBLIG)
57. Zanac (NES)
58. Mars Matrix (Dreamcast)
59. Metal Fighter (NES)
60. Papillon Gals (Famicom)
PC Denjin is pretty fun!
Heavy Weapon is also great to blast through mindlessly, it's a bit long though.
Fantasy Zone is surprisingly good on the Famicom (not NES, NES version is shit). It's in some ways better than the SMS version.
Rayforce is awesome. Very hard, the game punished me so much I almost gave up.
Super Nova isn't what I expected. Good challenge, but the graphics are kind of a letdown.
Shoot 1UP is weird, fun and excellent for relaxing.
Zanac is such a great shooter for the NES! I was impressed by how fast it plays!
This time I managed to beat Mars Matrix using the blue ship (Mosquito 2). This is one of my favorite games of all time!
Metal Fighter is a poor unlicensed game.
Papillon Gals, on the other hand, is quite good. Maybe the best unlicensed shooter I've ever played. The NES version is called Galactic Crusader, and ditches the hentai cut scenes of the Famicom original.
