The base unit is sleek and the color scheme is nice, classic atari red on black, but with a sleek modern look to it. The cartridges and CD unit are another story though. Controllers look OK, the keypad is kind of odd though (too bad the pro controller's saturn like layout wasn't the original controller), its comfortable at least and works well (unlike the 3DO's for instance) and the keypad does allow propper weapon selection for doom (not wolf3D), though L+R triggers supporting propper strafing (and circle strafing) would have been more important than having to cycle though weapons.

Jaguar design is nice but it really shows that they left space for the cdrom drive,
but when thats attached.. oh man looks as nice as a Genesis + Sega CD combo (model 1 that is)

the 3do 3 button controller is my favourate ever lol. Although i have heard lots either age badly or were made badly. Mine isnt takes the nice d pad buttons and nice chunky feel from the megadrive controller. Then crosses it with the snes which is good for fps. Also the headphone jack really sounds great. Its all just opinion tho there is no best or worst really.

Well, it lookds kind of silly with a cartridge inserted... Otherwise the CD installation is rather sleek, makes you wonder how that might have looked on the Genesis (like the Power Base Converter or super magic drive module). That also would have had serious implications on the Sega CD's capabilities. (the cart slot being far more versitile than the expansion port)

I've also heard soem problematic controllers can be improved by adjusting the screw tightness.

Get Super Burnout. To this day, it's the best motorcycle game I've played and is a blast either single player or head-to-head. It's one of the few genuinely good games for the Jag.

NBA Jam TE on the Jag is superior to the 16-bit ports on Genny and SNES. I compared graphics one night and you can see the facial features of the players on Jag, while the players faces are muddled looking on Genny.

Yep, you're right. But I didn't put them because I don't have any of the 3DO versions of those games. The first NFS I have it for PC, while I never played Road Rash and Return Fire. The games that I listed are the only ones I have for 3DO (actually I have another one, Autobahn Tokio, but it's awful)

Definitely Doom, it's unique and has the best lighting of any port short of a modern opengl source port. (better than PSX -and the better framerate and horizontal resolution are debatable -as is the ambient soundtrack of PSX) It really shows off the system, and it was the first console port, and rushed at that. (Carmak said he could have gotten it running much faster with more time -and I think he did later modify it further -probably in praparation for the planned Quake port)
