Best PS3 arcade stick?

Hi everyone. I don't start threads very often but I am thinking about purchasing a really nice arcade stick and I know there are a lot of knowledgeable gamers in here so I just thought I would get people's opinions so I can get the best value for my bucks. I don't own a PS3 but I am getting a Pandora handheld and I have heard that PS3 controllers can be used with it bc it accepts blue tooth. I have had a few Hori arcade sticks in the past, but they are not really modern ones (one for genny/SNES, one for PC engine), but I think it would be cool to hook the Pandora up to a tv and play emulators with a nice cordless PS3 arcade stick.

There are a couple on ebay I have been looking at. There is a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 with the joystick and buttons being Sanwa parts that I am particularly interested in. The arcade stick is in great condition. The joystick and buttons are all Sanwa parts. The joystick gate has been swapped out as well for a Sanwa GT-Y Octagonal Restrictor Plate (I don't know what this is but I assume it is a good thing). The seller will include all original parts including the square gate. The arcade stick will also come in its original package.

Specs:

Analog control switch

Turbofunction/Turbo hold button

Turbo Speed: 20 times/sec.

Cable length: 3m/9.75ft

So do any of you own any arcade sticks similar to this or have an opinion on a better stick? I know this might seem kinda snobby but I just want to get the best stick for my money, I hate getting a product and then finding out I could have gotten a better model if I had done more research. Also I was wondering (this is probably a long shot) but are there any good quality controllers that are genesis or saturn clone controllers that I could use on pandora? A BT genny or saturn pad would be awesome but I doubt that any exist.

but I am not sure how it compares to a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 with Sanwa parts.

Edit: Just noticed that you've planned to use it on your Pandora.

The X-arcade is a good stick, but you'll need to replace the stock sticks and buttons for real arcade parts, Happ or Industrias Lorenzo are the best for the X-arcade.

The official Street Fighter 4 Arcade stick: Tournament Edition is pretty nice. It uses the same parts found in the arcade machine.

That actually looks really really nice. I'm actually leaning more towards one of these now:daze:. The base on it looks really really sturdy. I normally don't really go for controllers with modern game art on them, but this one looks great.

So, it doesn't use real arcade parts ? - I am looking for the American style joysticks and microswitched buttons (which is something not found on Japanese sticks I think?).

I haven't thought about it yet. I don't even have a GBA or DS which I probably should be getting first.

I've been somewhat interested in that Chinese Dingoo A320 handheld recently but I haven't spend much time looking for any info on this thing.

It has arcade parts, but these are of poor quality made in China, and the microswitches are activated by paddle and not directly by the stick restrictor, that makes you lose accuracy and speed, especially in fighting games, but it's also annoying in all sorts of games.

I highly recommend you to replace the sticks and buttons by Happ or IL, these are cheap and easy to replace.

Hmm, after extensive review, there really isn't a stick that perfectly meets my needs. The Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 SA is the closest to what I want, but it isn't wireless. There is a wireless Tekken arcade stick for PS3 but It is not as good quality and I don't really like the design. I found some build it yourself sites with links to lots of parts and designs. I'm thinking maybe I can start a project to build a arcade stick with wireless BT and high quality stick and buttons. And maybe since I'm building it myself put a trackball on the right side, so that I could maybe play games using it as the R analog thumbstick on fps. Just a thought.

The X-Arcade is awesome as it comes, it needs no modifications, anyone that says otherwise is just making excuses for sucking.
