The one where he beats the shit out of Bugs Bunny.
Maybe Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde. He barely shows the game, it's only himself drinking beer and repeating how bad it is LOL
i liked the 5200 one when he frustratidly pulled out that huge orange extention cord really game me a giggle
too bad he couldnt find a controller that worked
propley the rocky one hes gotta be a virgin though lol
Mine has to be "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties." Not only was the game laughably bad, the end that mimics the game is hilarious.
Probably Power Glove, maybe NES accessories.
Pretty much all of 'em except for the following:
-Deadly Towers
-The Wizard of Oz
-Star Trek
-Milon's Secret Castle
-Little Red Hood
-Winter Games
He has a wife, yo. The Nerd is just a character he made. He doesn't act like that in real life(Not that I would know, I just read this on his site).
Anyways, I have no idea what my favorite is. Maybe the NES extras one. The Wizard/SMB 3 one is good too. I dunno, get back to me later.
Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight
I thought the Jaguar one was kind of weak, he focused on soem of the not so bad games (and soem good games) when there was so much more to work with, the cat thing was kind of funny but lasted at least 2x as long as it should. There were a lot of worse games he could have critisized, and he fell into the trap of pure personal asthetics comparing Star Fox with Cybermorph (which has way more colors, way better shading, higher polygon count and framerate and resolution -the game design of Star fox and the backgrounds obscure this -plus the music), same thing for Checkered Flag, the control is the worst part, then the framerate, F-Zero isn't comperable at all (the Jaguar was awesome at doign that kind of pseudo 3D/scaling stuff), a much more apt comparison would have been Virtua Racing on the Genesis or 32x, or even Stunt Racer FX. (though the latter suffers from low framerate wose than Checkered flag or Genesis VR)
I'm glad he didn't dewl ont he "64 bit" thing too much, the way marketing used it was pointless and rather stupid IMO. (in some ways the Jaguar is more a 64-bit system than the N64 for example)
But really, there were some really bad games he could have really ripped on which he certainly apeared to have. (not sure if Trevor McFur was there but that was horribly unfinished -albet a good tech demo for the color capabilities :p Club Drive is another)
Finally, that modder freind he had was either adlibing quite a bit or really didn't have any idea what he was doing... I mean he didn't even open the thing up and examine the internal connections, cables and drive (or he omitted mentioning it), jumping straight to hardwiring to the cart slot was dumb. Then he didn't even show the 2nd one booting up, if it wasn't the "red screen of death" then it could have been a simple spindle missalignment. (a "?" would apear due to disc read error, you simply need to pull on the spindle to pop it into position -sometimes getting jostled in shipping)
I mean, he could easily have asked the guys over at atariage (usign an alias obviously), there's a wealth of knoledge. (not to mention people who do repairs)
it would be interesting to see a "completion. second look" video adding all the things he wanted to review, but couldn't. A 5200 with working controllers (still a PITA based on Mark Bussler -with refurbished controller), Corpse Killer on Sega CD, etc. (or a general second look at Sega CD/32x -but that would mostly be more positive stuff as there are a lot of good, common games which he didn't have for either -Silpheed, NovaStorm, Stellar Fire, SoulStar, Shadow Squadron, Virtua Racing Deluxe, etc)
THIS
Yeah, really, WHAT IN THE HELL DO CHECKERED FLAG AND F-ZERO HAVE TO DO WITH EACH OTHER? Nothing! One of them was a polygonal F1 racer, while the other was a futuristic Mode 7 racer! The first time I saw it I thought that he was going to compare Checkered Flag to VR or even Stunt Race FX as you said (or Dirt Trax FX), since he pretty much compares nearly everything to Nintendo games/consoles/accessories/etcetera, but when I saw that he compared it to F-Zero, I thought "What?"
Battle Toads esp. the funky pause lol
F-Zero looks better than anything on Jaguar, and that was the point. Not if its polygons or not. Who cares if they're polygons or not anyway ?
My favorites are the 32X/SegaCD ones. I know they're somewhat cheap as he most likely did not spent more than maybe ten minutes with the games before complaining about them - a method copied by millions of terrible AVGN clones on YT. But this wasn't as much about the games as about the platforms themself and of course their marketing. Pretty awesome to see the Nintendo Nerd going over Sega's worst mistakes.
The videos I think are boring are the ones where he beats up Bugs Bunny. I usually enjoy those where he spents an eternity on trying to beat a super shitty game. I really feel guilty for enjoying having him to play this garbage.
I think Silver Surfer's my favorite. I love his reactions to the title screen and losing images and how he says "you've got to be a total fuckin nerd to keep playing" and then stares at the camera before continuing.
