For some reason, fate smiled upon me today. The normally most costly store in town for Megadrive games was having an offer on and it wasn't even advertised!before I knew it, 4 games that would have cost me £13 became 5 games that only cost me £5.84!

Also won an eBay auction for Final Fantasy Legend II... paid a whopping $4.25.
I never did beat FF Legend II. I got stuck fighting Odin and just quit.
That battle with Odin is an ugly one. Still, it's a fairly awesome game.. rather expansive, especially when you consider the limitations of the Game Boy. The "durability" twist on weapons can be a major source of frustration, but overall.. one of my favourites for the Game Boy. You found it for a fine price, j_factor.
Oh yeah, how is Lost Kingdoms? I've heard good things.
Got a few games at my local store cheap.
-Warpspeed
-Mega Games 1
Also just won Thunder Force IV on ebay for a whole £1.99![]()
Final Fantasy Legend II was one of the games I got when I originally got my first Game Boy. I have a lot of fond memories of it... I sold my Game Boy stuff in 1998 towards a PSX, and I've been meaning to track down my old games for a few years now, just never got around to it. I still need to get Metroid II and Bad n' Rad.Originally Posted by Drixxel
uh. woo, tangent. Anyway. FFL2 is one of the best portable RPGs ever made IMO. I really loved the battle system, durability and all.
Once I made it without ever losing a battle (and thus never meeting Odin) and when I got to Odin's palace, went up to him and pressed A, instead of dialogue we went immediately into battle, and it was like ten times harder. I never beat him like that.. I wonder if you get anything for it.
If you're not violently opposed to card battle RPGs, it's a good one. A lot of people seem to have a problem with the mere premise of a card-based game.Oh yeah, how is Lost Kingdoms? I've heard good things.
...and now, more purchases.
Mega Man Legends (non-gh)
The Misadventures of Tron Bonne
Tron Bonne strategy guide
a couple of related pencil boards
$20
Kid Chameleon (genesis) complete - $10
Zelda (nes) cart - $7
Ristar (genesis) complete - $8
Ristar (game gear) cart - $12
I'm damn happy about those last two. Ristar for Genesis has become hard to find, and the Game Gear one is really hard to find. In fact the only other time I've seen Ristar GG was when I bought it at Toys R Us when it first came out.
