    Only on PS2.

And in a weird, financially irresposible oversight, I accidentally won an auction for a US PS2 copy as well. I guess I'll be able to compare them in-depth; I have yet to see an in-depth comparison of the two versions.

Hopefully you didn't pay too much for PS2 version of Rez.

I believe it was $35 after shipping. I had a very hard time finding a non-sealed copy on eBay (and those are around $50 after shipping).

Part of it, yes. It is hard for me to locate and hit the correct button in time, especially with their orientation on the cheap Neo Geo hollow joystick. I am getting a NGCD controller so that will help a bit. But the game's AI seems to be a bit overbearing, even on easy. Nearly all of my moves are blocked or countered which results in damage to my character. The joystick makes the moves difficult to pull off. Also I am used to Capcom moves, not the backwards SNK moves. I will admit that I am used to Capcom quality and SNK quality simply cannot compete with it. Personally the best controller for fighting games is the Saturn (Japanese pad which was later released in the US). I also like the 6 button configuration. Makes finding and pressing the button you want to quick and inuitive.

PS2 Rez is in the PlayAsia sale. It might be best if I don't mention the price.

(Although it is for the Japanese PS2.)

I ordered Under Defeat and Radirgy. I'm hoping they'll come on Tuesday because I bought them last Tuesday.

Yeah, SNK's early fighters have a lot of WTF? moves. Also you have to input the moves precisely on SNK fighters; Capcom gives you a bit of leeway when inputing moves. Your first Neo Geo fighter really should've been King of Fighters 96 or 98, since the moves and difficulity (except for the last boss) are better. Another solution to your control stick dilemma is one of these: http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?cat...ducts_id=3707&. I've seen these on ebay and what I've read is that they work pretty good. You can use the PS2 Saturn pad with it and you should be set.

Well the biggest difference is the framerate.
PS2 version runs at 60Fps with some slowdown.
Dreamcast runs at 30Fps with slowdown, but not as much.

Another difference is the Trans Vibrator support...

Thinking of importing a DS Lite... can anyone recommend which site is best out of liksang, playasia and yesasia? yesasia pay VAT, but the other two look more reliable. Do you still get a free game with playasia DS Lite orders?

Yeah, I was already aware of that. At the moment though, I don't have the ability to play Japanese PS2 games. There's not a whole lot of PS2 imports that strike my fancy, and last I heard, it's a pain in the ass to get imports working on your system.

Well... I already knew about those, and about how the DC version is smoother looking. But.. perhaps there are more miniscule differences that nobody talks about.

They were supposed to make a Trans Vibrator for DC, and then they didn't at the last minute. PROTIP: Space Channel 5 Part 2 also supports the Trans Vibrator.

    Turrican (genesis)
    Universal Soldier (genesis)
Be sure to post all of the differences you find between these two games. I imagine it will be a short post.

I thought Universal Soldier was based on Turrican 2.

Beats me. I tried to make a it a rule to avoid Accolade games. I also had a rule that I had to play every game I could get my hands on, so I definitely rented them, but don't remember.

Universal Solider is the same as Turrican on the Genesis, just with altered graphics.
