Well today a bunch o' stuff that I listed earlier in the thread arrived. F-16 Fighting Falcon being one of them. Imagine my surprise when I put it in the Genesis via the Power Base Converter (just because I wanted to see what would happen), turned it on and the title screen comes up in full glory with full music as well! "This cannot be!" I think. I also notice that the game is called "F-16 Fighters" and not "Fighting Falcon" as listed on the box. I start the game. The game and sound work fully! Unfortunately the graphics don't show up during the gameplay. But who needs graphics? I'm not a graphics whore. The game works, you just can't see it.

My Sega Master System seems to show the whole game as it was intended for some odd reason.

The Genesis itself (not the PBC) is missing one (or more?) of the legacy modes that is used for SG-1000/SC-3000 games. So that's why there is no display.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

I know. But they should have gone all the way and programmed a message into the PBC when you tried to play F-16 that says something like "This game doesn't work, fool! Here, play Snail Maze instead!"

My Neo Turf Masters for the Neo Geo arrived today. It is awesome. Kicks the hell out of Top Players Golf, though I'd still buy that one if I found it for cheap.

Went to the flea market today:

All of this for about $21.

Funny because the flea market has plently of brand new Teamplayers adapters. The box is worn a little, but everything inside is brand new.

Today at the thrift store I picked up World Series Baseball for the Sega 32-bit Saturn videogame entertainment system. I used to own it loooong ago and traded it in for something. Nice to see my game save was still there since I never deleted anything. I was one game away from winning the World Series with the Colorado Rockies. Tonight I finally played that last game and won the pennant, just like the Rockies do every year in reality! 3 bucks.

I also picked up Mike Tyson's Punch-Out for the NES at (get this) the SAME thrift store!!!!!!! It logically came with the instruction manual for Burgertime and a Konami poster advertising 10 of their NES games. 99 cents.

Who here wants to be the first to be jealous of me?

Today was a pretty good haul day. I picked up Alex Kidd in Miracle World for the Sega Master System complete and in awesome condition (only $5) at a local used game shop. I also picked up the sequel to Phantasy Star known as Spellcaster, also for the SMS and complete. It's more like a cross between Mystic Defender and Lord of the Sword with a bit of Kenseiden than a Phantasy Star sequel, but I say it has far more to do with the Phantasy Star series than any of the Phantasy Star Online games do. From this same store I also picked up Baseball Stars Professional and Top Players Golf, both for the Neo Geo. I had to clean up the boxes a bit, but talked the prices down.

Today the mail lady brought me a present which contained Burning Force and Zany Golf, both complete and for the Genesis. Both were also like new except for Zany Golf's box which had a small amount of crushing due to it being made out of paper.
