The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...
Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

Interesting about PGR3. I went to Best Buy to buy it. I can't remember if the price tag said $29 or $39. But it looked like a good price. So I had the guy unlock the Xbox360 cage (all other games are unlocked, I guess only thieves have Xbox360's) and get the game for me. I took it up to the register. The cashier asked if I found everything OK and I said "No". He clearly was not prepared for that response. I told him the game was locked up so that disabled me from browsing the game boxes and made the experience a pain in the ass. The game rang up as $54. I told the cashier that was wrong and it should be cheaper. He just pointed at the screen and said "It rings up as $49.99". I canceled the transaction, said goodbye and left the store. I then went over to EB and purchased the game for $24 (new it was $30). Fortunately EB changed their price stickers so they no longer leave residue on the box when removed. I did have to endure the usual EB warrantee and gamer's card sales pitches, though.
Shining Force, incomplete - 3 bucks
Trouble Shooter (cart only $3) - Genesis
Ultimate Ghosts & Goblins - PSP
If it's not the inconvenience of a locked game display, it's a completely boneheaded arrangement of product for sale. I can't say whether Future Shops anywhere else do it like this, but the local store keeps all of its games on tight shelves, deep enough to cram in about five or six layers of DVD cases standing upright, with the next highest shelf plopped immediately on top and the lowest shelf down around knee level. Browsing their selection is such a pain in the ass. Fortunately, I went to EB today, and after scouring the PSX bin full of unlabelled jewel cases I came away with...Originally Posted by Joe Redifer

Is that game anywhere as awesome as it looks?Originally Posted by JFLY
It's a great game and Capcom has captured the feel of the previous games perfectly, but the game is hair-ripping hard, and this is from someone who has beaten the all the previous G&G games (except for the Wonderswan version) without any problems. Part of my problem (which isn't game related) is the PSP d-pad -- God I hate that thing!!! If Sony redesigns the PSP, I hope they really consider upgrading that mushy d-pad. Maybe then I'll be able to control my jumps in the game more accurately. It's sad a game like this is stuck on the PSP, because it would've been perfect release for the Gamecube or PS2 (with the frame rate locked at 60 fps, of course).Originally Posted by Drixxel

Just picked up:
Enchanted Arm - Xbox 360
Dead or Alive 4 - Xbox 360
Xbox 360 came today. Pretty damn cool! I haven't had a ton of time to mess with it yet, but it is downloading some demos right now. I haven't tried backwards compatibility yet (I hear it is awesome, my first test will be Panzer Dragoon Orta which I hear will run in better-than-1080p mode and adds 30 new stages) and I really need to get custom music on there (musin on Project Batman 3 = teh suk). I am also playing Ghost Recon which seems to be one of those games which you need to memorize what each button does in each situation. Seems pretty damn hard, too.
