Today I picked up some stuff:
Capcom vs. SNK (DC): $25 CDN
Brand New DC controller in box (official Sega): $25 CDN
Up on the shelf; it's a bird, it's a plane, it's Sega Genesis! Faster processing than a SNES, more powerful than a TG-16, able to play 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit and CD-ROM games on a single system (with the CD, 32x and power base converter, of course)

Slaughter Sport, Tongue of the Fatman, Mondu's Fight Palace - it's had so many names.

I picked up King Kong for 360 and Retro Gamer magazine #33.

Bought a Mega Drive 2 SCART cable from Chaoticjelly. The one I had before was complete shit.

Good move, that's the same guy I bought a ton of Dreamcast peripherals and Flux from.

I've finally won a complete copy of Toejam & Earl, too. Seems like this could potentially be an upcoming 'eBay darling' to rival Gunstar Heroes. I'm also pretty chuffed with the Comix Zone I won last week, it came with the 'limited edition 6-track audio CD' inside. Was this same CD released in the States under the Sega Tunes label?

I've been on a soundtrack hunt lately, too. Daytona USA: Circuit Edition arrived three days ago, to go with the two Sonic Heroes soundtracks, Shadow the Hedgehog: Lost And Found and Segarocks Live in Japan. Otaku.co.uk messed me around regarding an OutRun2 soundtrack, and I'd still give an arm and a kidney for the Daytona USA 2: BotE soundtrack.

Elusive, a Comix Zone CD came with the game. It may be the same CD.

Yeah, I bought a MD1 SCART cable, just to see if my Transcoder and TV was complete crap (it wasn't) and I didn't buy an MD2 cable right off the bat, just to be safe. OH well, it'll be perfect for a backup incase I don't ever have a 32X conversion cable, or if I loose mine.

Bought the Insignia stereo receiver from Best Buy for my computer. I needed a cheap receiver because the amps on my old Pioneer were dying. The sign in Best Buy said that this was a stereo receiver... with Pro Logic 2! I laughed at their stupidity.

Anyway the receiver is OK. When adjusting the balance, it says the left channel is getting louder on the display when in actuality the right channel is (yes, I have it hooked up correctly). Also when you put it into standby and turn it back on later, the volume resets to very low and the balance settings reset, but not the bass and treble settings. Odd receiver, but oh well.

Yeah, that was it. I didn't have much choice, as I wanted sound.
