I've been searching the internet for a couple of days now, but can't seem to find anything good. You'd think it would be easy, but when I feed the words "Playstation" "1" or anything to do with the console into a search engine, all I get are generic cheat code pages, sales sites, mod chip sites, emulation, Etc, Etc.... No actual fan sites that just deal with the PS1.
You could say that I'm married to the Genesis, but the ps1 is the "Other women" in My life. (I know, that sucked.....)

The site isn't PS1 specific, but is a good retro gaming site all around. It has a section dedicated to Sony consoles.

Are there any sites like this that have reviews with a numerical scoring system similar to Sega-16 (or any other retro console)? I found one for Neo Geo but that's it.

Good show, fellas! I'm especially digging PlaystationCollecting.com, It's board looks as active and friendly as this one. I'm hoping to find a board that has some ps1 tech wizards on it, like how sega-16 does.
Although it's not a big deal, I resently bought a SCPH-1001 ps1, the one with the RCA plugs on the back. I wanted to hear for Myself if the rummors about It's audio output were true.
The bad news is the system was BADLY mistreated. There was the usual brown mystery gunk and pet hair, outside AND in! There was also rust on parts of the RF shielding inside. Due to It's abuse, the Composite-out is blurry, the audio-out is muffled and sort of weak, and strangest of all, the system has trouble rendering lighting/shading effects.
On the up-side though, When I dismantled it for cleaning, I discovered It had a Stealth III 7-wire Modchip! I don't due imports or bootlegs normally, but it's still a cool thing to find
