People payed 15€ to meet him and be the first to see the trailer, most of which likely went to paying for the renting of the theater. Get over yourselves.

Nothing like asking for 1000s and spending 100s.

$15 is cheap for a meet and greet style thing. its not like james and mike where there sniffing lines of coke and forced everyone to leave after the tralier im sure there was some sort of q and a chat aswell

I was going to say...$15 is a steal for a meet-and-greet with the AVGN!
I'm getting fed up of jealous keyboard warriors giving the guy a hard time, good on him that he can make a living and create something a lot of people enjoy. I'm not that keen on the poo jokes and such, but he is a clever and insightful guy and puts a lot of effort into his videos, I really enjoy watching his stuff.
The movie looks impressive too, expanding the format with extra characters and a feature length filling plot is something that had to be done, so I don't see why anyone is surprised by that. Instead of complaining perhaps people should try putting effort into making something themselves if they are capable, perhaps if you do a good enough job you'll get support from people in the same way as he has.
I think many of the people who kick up a fuss are just upset that their own badly made youtube video where they just hold up their collection of games one at a time infront of the camera in a dimly lit room hasn't become an internet sensation![]()

People who think he didn't spend the money don't understand much about Movie making, in this industry a million is considered extremely low budget. I went to a film camp called BYFA where the budget for the film was only around 20-30k i believe.
We all worked for free apart from the director, we even had to bring our own cutlery for Christ sake! we slept on the floor of cramped college classrooms with nothing but sleeping bags. The vast majority of the costumes were donated by the council along with the props. Every free man was used and even though i was part of the editing team, i was slapped in a costume and asked to be an extra. With paid staff i imagine 300k could disappear very quickly.

I will definitely buy the movie once it comes out. I have no problems supporting him.

How can people like Curryman123 accept such utterly illogical points of view? Can they not accept that they're just completely and utterly wrong? It's amazing how self-assured and arrogant people can be even though they clearly know less than nothing about how to make a feature-length film and all the costs that come with it (I mean, christ - how long would it take a big Hollywood blockbuster film to blow through 300k on a day of shooting? 3 hours? 1 hour? 5 minutes?). And then there's Thunderblaze123, who even though he's already been proved wrong, now argues "Well, I don't like the AVGN, therefore charging $15 for a Q&A/screening/autograph session is a rip-off" which is almost as nonsensical as the video Curryman posted of that yammering bubblehead.
I feel like playing the jealousy card, even though it's a bit of a cheap get-out. Of course, the likelier answer is trolling.
Heh, and when did I say I don't like him? I love when people like YOU turn the tables like that and make the person sound more of an asshole. I've watched his stuff since 2007, I enjoy his work. You can say I'm a bit upset he's charging people for his trailer, that's me though but you can't say that I ever said I dislike James or his character.

All I know, is I wish I could be watching this movie over Christmas. It's probably going to be a summer release.
Why does post-production take so long?
Oh, come on now. Exactly what impression am I supposed to take from your posts? It's been stated repeatedly that there's more to this night than just the showing of a trailer, and yet you continue on with trying to make something out of absolutely nothing, making posts that are more and more unreasonable.
Well I guess you don't know me much here in the forums do you?
