The one I never got was Die Hard - quite an underrated game in my opinion. It's a nice top-down shooter - the gun battles are certainly tough, but I find them rather exciting - it's a different beast to most other top-down shooters, and I prefer them when they aren't just BLAST BLAST BLAST. That and it's all very true to the movie, even down to having to watch where you put your feet and having that effect your movement as opposed to your general health. Really, it's a very respectable effort.

Unlike the PC Engine one, which is all BLAST BLAST BLAST. It barely even has anything to do with the movie.

NES Die Hard is awesome, honestly.

Went on an AVGN binge last night, catching up on all the stuff I haven't seen.

His review/analysis of Ghosts 'n Goblins (complete with BITD footage) is pure nostalgic gold. What a miserable game, lmao.

I was thinking about this when the TMNT topic came up, but thought it would be a better fit for the catch-all topic - what AVGN-slated games do you actually like?

I remember that review. Parts 1 and 2 were of course much better. There really weren't that many Bible games left for part 3 and that forced the Nerd to review Caltron 6 in 1, which really seemed out of place. The episode is definitely watchable, unlike some of the other episodes this season.

I think AVGN has gotten worse over time. He's running out of ideas, and a lot of the games he's reviewed really aren't bad at all.

Pretty decent episode, can't say I'm a big fan of sports games myself.

I think the few sports games I've enjoyed has been the Kunio-kun ones.

Yeah, he did a good job with this one. The build up to ATARI football is some of his most crafty cussing yet.
