Korean Mega Drive Exclusives

I'm surprised you're finding so many Chinese carts in Korea. From what I've heard MD games are pretty impossible to find these days with all the modern gaming pushing it out of the way. Do the shops you frequent(I'm assuming you're shopping for these) carry lots of these Chinese pirates like Squirrel King and Pokemon?

it is the luck of the draw these days taz. i came up on a big lot of mega drive and pc engine games about two years ago at one of my local pawn shops. ther are individuals who stilll have their old school possessions in pawn shop limbo. as long as you make a payment , they hold on to your stuff. the same thing applies to the stores. we hardcore, diehard (no pun intended) video gamer shelled out 70 to 100+ for import titles back in the day. just keep your eyes open!

As far as finding Chinese carts in Korea, it doesn't seem like there is too much. I've bought just about everything I've found. I've seen Pokemon a few times and now that I see there is interest in it I'll pick it up each time I see it. As for Squirrel King it was the first time I'd seen it. Its a good thing I knew about it, there is a chance I could have easily overlooked the game. I normally wouldn't buy those 4-in-1 carts, but I've started to make some exceptions if its a pirate with a box. I even picked up a pirated Contra: The Hard Corps. Maybe I'll have a buyer for it, but for the mean time I'll just enjoy playing it.

Well I was going to wait until the pending items had sold to bump this up, but I haven't had contact in a few days.

One copy of Streets of Rage 3 has been sold. There is still one copy remaining.
Likewise, 1 copy of Pocket Monsters 2 has been sold and there is still 1 copy available. At the moment Squirrel King is also still available.

I finally got a set of Samsung wireless controllers (exactly the same as the official Sega brand ones), which I'll add to the thread, but they won't come cheap. I'll also have a regular Samsung 3-button pad available (controller is in new condition and the button contacts feel new as well) that I will add soon.

Yes, I have a large list of games I am looking for and that one is definitely on there. The shop where I found 2 copies once before now has a list of games I am looking for. They may or may not be able to turn up new items. There is another guy/seller who has a lot of Mega Drive stuff, however he has been gone for a few months and when someone tried to call him he did not answer. I haven't met the guy, but if/when he returns that may be an option as well.

I've also found out about 2 new flea markets I can check though I don't expect much and I've been improving my Korean each day and am starting to use Korean sites to search for information. I'll surely let you know if another copy turns up.

That said I may have just found a copy of Gam Together 3 a Korean compilation of Mega Drive games. I don't know if anyone on Sega-16 has expressed interest, however I've had others ask about it.

I moved the cartridge only games I had to eBay. $19.99 Buy-It-Now. At that price I'm breaking even. Just want them off my hands. The three games are Light Crusader, Ghost Busters, and Super Game 138.
