What hurts more is that I originally bought the black label version out of the bargain bin at CompUSA. When I sold it to GameStop a few years back (along with MegaMan Legends 2 ), the clerk excitedly told me that he could give me $8 for it!!!

A facepalm ensued not too many months later...

Ouch, man. What brought you to part with such excellent games for such a paltry price? I used to sell games back to GameStop too, but I've been burned too many times on the buyback prices to even consider it unless I honestly hate a game and just want to get it out of my sight. I think the last time I sold a bunch of stuff to GS was in 2005 when I stupidly sold my entire collection (of then current Gen stuff) so I could have enough cash to go to the Coachella Music & Arts Festival. In case you're wondering, it was decidedly not worth it.

Two things:

A. I had just gotten together with my wife (then girlfriend), and I was going through one of those "I no longer need the things I once enjoyed" phases.

B. At the time, I was still very ignorant about the value of retro games. I was done with my PS1 and that included the games: simple as that. Like I said, I soon learned the error of my ways. Regardless of what the games could have netted me on ebay, I just want them back in my collection. Certain games are just worth more to hang on to then to sell, you know?

Now I'm sad.

Two things:

I had one of those phases last year, it's still going strong. Financially ruining myself by selling everything I own, buying a new Mopar 440 and then trying to find something to 'contain it' seems like a kickass idea to me every few hours.
