Default Red Steel 2 FMV Segment (Horrible)

Reminded me of play a good ole Sega CD FMV... Jump to 1:44 - 3:21

You may not be able to tell on this video (not mine) that it's actually video, but you can definitely when playing the actual game....

Press A + B here, Shake Left here!

What does that remind me of.... hhmm...

    Oh Yeah!!!

What is exactly "horrible" here? That Red Steel game looks awesome from the video.

The FMV style segment. The GAME PLAY of that part! It's just like that damn Power Rangers game... But just that part of the game. Everything else is great! Full control...

I don't know, looks kind of like the typical "Boss fight minigame" scheme that seems to be popular these days, like in the "God of War" games or in "The Force unleashed" - if you want to finish off the bosses, you have to hit the right buttons at the right time...

come to think of it, yeah, I find that pretty annoying, too!
The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?

Well it could at least give you different outcomes if you don't hit the right button. You just fall off and go back to a "check point" Magically appear... That whole part just pisses me off... Indiana Jones for the Wii was the same... Had a part where he was running from the big rock. And it's like "shack both Wii motes Now!!" I like to be taught the controls in the beginning, I understand there is a learning curve for all Wii games, but after that, let me take it on my own. If your gonna show me how to play the whole game, what's the point? Where's the skill?

Example. Let's say your playing Mortal Kombat, and right before every fatality, it just shows you how to do it.

That would get SO OLD! I wanna learn it or figure it out on my own.

Even Ed Boon didn't fuck that up on the Wii....
Despite the Wii controls sucked, it was still a "here's the tutorial, good luck, try all kinds of different shit on the fatalities"

Great example of a game like that... Another World/Out Of This World
Just throws you in the game... Figure it out!!

Is the player not controlling everything in the shooter game?

The whole 'press this button now' scheme does not work for me at all...

The only game I've experienced this on is Jericho for PC. I DETEST the button sequences... they're retarded. They wouldn't be that bad if I didn't have to remap my keys to make them work... some kind of fukup in the port I spose.

Your not in control on that part. The rest you are. It just seemed really out of place. They should of just showed the damn cut scene, rather than "trying" to make it seem like your interacting with it....

Don't get me wrong. It's a kick ass game. Love the controls and the high frame rate. The sword action is just amazing! But that small part just made my stomach turn.
