It seems it does work with overclocked systems, just picky about which systems. I'm getting a Version 2.1 and will test that as well. I have the original 1.0 right now. My Wondermega 2 works great with original games overclocked no issues whatsoever, the everdrive will only work for a short while then the music goes weird and the game locks up. The everdrive works on my Gen 2 VA1 sort of, if I want to program a game to it I have to use the adapter he included for it. With the adapter it freezes when overclocked, without the adapter it works great overclocked, after you have launched a game. The Everdrive menu will not show up at all when in overclock mode. You have to have stock speed set, power on system, launch game, activate overclock and reset system. All my systems have the 10mhz OC.

Hey KRIKzz, is there any possibility of having the Everdrive cart act as a multiBIOS for the Sega CD? The Megacart is nice but I don't want to use a special adaptor just to put ROMs on it.

just got my Everdrive Flash Cart, and immediately gave it a try.

Everything works just fine, but I noticed something weird: Whenever the number of roms exceeds a certain number (I think its 120, as the error came up whenever the menu had to display more than six pages of available games), the menu glitched out, making only 20 or so games available; beyond that, the menu displayed only long rows of "BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB". That error came up even after I updated the os to the most recent version (v7). (I got the most recent edition with firmware v4, btw).

after I split everything up into subfolders with no more than ~80 games each, everything was just fine though! I'm not sure whether the Flashcart or the 1GB SD-card I used is to blame here. Just wanted to point this one out.

Definitely prefer the Everdrive over the Tototek card I had earlier. Finally I can get rid of that old PC and its LPT-port

/edit: Oh yeah, I used this on a standart PAL Model 2 Mega Drive, and can't get NTSC-games with regional lockout to work (tried it with SSF2). Is there a workaround, or do I need an adapter (like Game Genie or Action Replay)?
The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?

you should use special adapter for play ntsc games on your pal system. also some games can be patched for disable regionla security.

about "BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB" - single folder can contain 249 files max

The problem is with the code he uses for the menu. It can be fixed with an update. He periodically puts out updates on his page, so check it now an then. OS updates are for the menu code and can be done without anything extra. Firmware updates are for the programmable chip on the card and require a special adapter to let the PC change the chip.

That was the primary issue many people had with the MD-Pro... if he had just made a USB programmer to replace it, the card would gain popularity again.

You need to patch the rom images on the SD card for your region. You'll find region codes for games on the net (and this forum), and ucon64 can patch the rom images using GG codes.

Are almost all Genesis, SMS, and 32x games compatible now? Any notable incompatibilities?

Does this support SDHC cards yet?

I don't test everything I have... too busy for that. I haven't seen anything that doesn't work, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything.

    FAT32 isn't supported, and SDHC isn't supported.

You can't, the only thing you'll be doing with a classic cartridge is using the outer plastic shell.

the Everdrive cart is completely designed from scratch by KRIKzz,
and since its his design i doubt he'll be giving out the schematics so everybody can copy it.

Just buy one, they are not that expensive.

You can not just solder an SD cart on an old Sega cartridge, this is a completely new thing.

Virtua Racing for Genesis won't work. No SDHC means 2GB or less, mainly, but all Genesis, SMS, and 32X games will fit on a 2GB card, as long as there are no duplicates.

Well obviously VR won't work on ANY flash cart... no SVP. More telling are games like Super Street Fighter II - which does work on the Everdrive-MD.
