Does anyone know if there is currently or if there ever has been a US TV with a SCART connection on it?

I have seen an RGB connector on the back of some OLD TVs around my work, but I haven't been able to investigate and find out if they are Jap SCART or Eu SCART...
They're really old Toshibas I think... They were definitely high end in their hay-day.
Edit: And if I can find another one of those TVs around I am totally taking it home! Haha. I need a good CRT...

SCART is pretty much a UK only thing. The US has always used the RCA style plugs, or Coax.
edit: Quick research shows that in the US, a very few TV's used them, where the connectors were called EIA Multiport
There are some multimedia monitors/special TVs (usually related to TV/Studio production) which have RGB inputs, but they may vary with RCA connectors, BNC connectors, various DIN or D-sub connectors, or a propritary one, so finding the proper pinout can be tough, and in some cases sync on green is used too. (so might not be easy to use with the MD)
Once again, North America just HAD to go with Y'PbPr component for the new video standard attached to DVD players rather than conform to the already common RGB standard in Europe and Japan. Unlike the preceeding VHS/Beta/Laserdisc (composite video) and SVHS (Y/C S-Video), there really wasn't a prevailing reason for using Y'PbPr. --Sure MPEG uses YCbCr colorspace, but that's digital, so DAC hardware is necessary either way and going to RGB isn't mugh of a stretch. (a lot of DVD players in other regions opted for RGB support)
Of course, analog RGB HAD already been established as the standard for computer monitors, though VGA conformed to a 30 kHz or greater VSYNC signal. (some older home computers like the Amiga and ST used 15 kHz like SDTV)
How many tv's you want I can export them from Finland. LCD's have taken our living rooms and tube tv's are laying all around fleemarkets these days. for 50-70€ you can have 32" tube tv with 2-3 scart connectors, ntsc and pal supports. Power cord is EU but uplink adapter you can play it in USA.
Well I am kidding, it seems only 30kg curiers from Finalnd availble, TV weight I guess 50kg or something.

Hmm, a decent 20-27" CRT should be within the 30 kG limit, especially newer ones. 20" for sure, 27" might be pushing it though. Still, shipping charges would be a huge pain... Plus you'd still need to pay for the SCART cables, which aren't that cheap. (plus shipping)
For that cost, it's more practical to go with an SCAR RGB to Component transcoder for CRTs, possibly HDMI adapter for HDTVs.
Those tend to run $30-40, though there might be other options too.
The RCA Dimensia TVs had a SCART Port. It was called "EIA Multiport" on it, but it was still wired as a full Euro SCART. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCA_Dimensia
I would love to find one of these TVs. Even if I had to pay shipping.
That TV has a simple computer in it, an actual sound system, was a flatscreen, a remote the size of a small pizza, and had about 20 inputs. Why don't we make TV's that impressive anymore?
Wow, that's interesting. Just hob big are those things?
Edit: here's the thread where mugenmidget posted about the nice (reasonably compact) TV/Monitor he found at goodwill with RGB input for only $5... :jealous:
