i am trying to overclock this megadrive, the model is 1600-05 but in the pin 15 of the cpu motorola (68000) i dont hve any trace going to there, so i dont know witch trace to cut...i tried to cut one in pin 6 (that i saw in this tutorial http://kyorune.com/modding/article.php?id=73) but then i had no reboot, and i solded the wires in pin 15(cpu) and b19 and also tried in b15(cart slot) and nothing happens, so i solded again the cuted part, and had the console working again...so i dont know, the trace in in 15 its not there in my model :S can you help me? sorry my english cheers i hope anyone can help me :S

Not sure how to fix pin 6 (which is AS, nothing to do with overclocking....), but if the trace isn't on the top of the board, it's likely on the bottom being a double-sided PCB...

My VA3 model 1 is like that. The other option is cutting or desoldering+lifting the clock pin.

in your model how do you do? can you identify the trace, or you had to desolder the pin?

I didn't look at it too closely (haven't yet modded), but going from the bottom of the board, just count the pins like on the top. (finding pin 1 shouldn't be hard)

If you still can't find the trace, you can desolder (or carefully cut -or file) and lift the pin to solder to. Be careful not to brak the pin off the chip though. (otherwise you'll have to grind off the package of the chip to get to the internal trace)

Go ahead and carefully lift pin 15. I did not bother with cutting the trace, I just lifted the pin and soldered the new clock speed to the leg of the pin. I did have to de-solder the pin from under the board first and then the pin pulled right up through the top of the board.
