I didn't even know Pioneer released their own controller. I know that the Sega and TG16 modules have controller ports so you can use a Genesis or TG16 controller.

Correction, is essentially the smaller Megadrive 6-button controller with the Laser Active Logo (the plastic color also seems a bit brighter)..Here:
