MegaCD 2: again divorce.
Dreamcast: got yoinked off a table, never worked the same since.
Origional MD from 1989: sold for a PS1
Snes: Stoned make spilt Nail Varnish removed all over it! used to act like it had been circuit bent.
Game Gear: dropped down the stairs.
PS2: thrown out of window.
Oh and 6 RROD Xbox 360s since launch. I have one stilll but don't play games on it.
That's the story of my mom, only she hasn't ever had the experiences happen to her, but rather a friend of a friend or on Oprah and then suddenly she thinks everything will cause a fire or flood the house, etc. She needs a job.
please elaborate
Based on my experience...
...using them correctly.
No and fucking hell was I sore when I heard the UK release price!!! what makes it worse is the only damn game I had was Super Monkey Ball!!!!!! FOR 6 MONTHS!
Yeah 17days is right...Im real careful with my electronics! surprisingly! the 360s go like this;
1> Launch 360, RROD
2> Replacement 360 RROD 2 days after getting back.
3> Replacement Replacement 360 had the Blank screen, no sound issue about a month after.
4> New 360 the USBs didn't work straight out of the box.
5> New New 360 Some strange E71 error I forget which its not the one for the HDD or cable it pretty much means its fubar.
6> MS wouldn't replace the last one because it was over a year old so I took it back to the shop and threw a wobbly, they swapped it for a new one...which after 6 months...RROD!
7> is two months old, still working! but don't use it, I just have it out of principal and Castle Crashers.
All 360s stored Horizontal, except for the last which is verticle with all ventillation clear blah blah and no 3rd part periferals or hacks.
...
The PS2 was thrown out the window because it froze on one of the last battles of Final Fantasy 10!....Id been playing it all day, just gave up smoking (3rd day I think) and it just caught me at a bad time.
Game locked up, eyes twitched, PS2 out window....3rd story.
What made it stranger is it worked fine after, the only reason I say its lost is because the FOXCON cable was slightly damaged and the 2nd controller port never worked again.

Trust me, that son of a bitch had it coming... I can't even begin to explain the frustration that unit caused me.I shudder thinking about what I would have done if I hadn't taken that anger out on the DC.
It's the only piece of Electrical equipment I've purposely destroyed and I'm sure it'll be my last... had to be done though, there was no helping it.

No such thing as common sense/logic anymore... there is only Practical Sense.

see above I edited it.
My dad sold my jaguar in a rummage, wasn't much of a loss since he bought the system for around $20 brand new. My original playstation is somewhere at my Mom's ex's house.
Surprisingly a phat!
Well from what I see it bounced as it landed on my front lawn, the top half kind of come away abit but was still attached.
I remember looking at it, thinking "Fuckkkkkkk, it'l never work" so I tried it and it still read games.
but when I tried playing Metal Slug with a mate the controller didn't respond and the memory cards wern't being read.
So I just yanked off the top part which was just sat all askew. I remember their was a silvery grey ribbon cable attached too the controller ports which was twisted and had a slight tare in it, but both it and the Controller port (it was a small plastic section if I remember right) both had Foxxconn written on them...so I just called it the foxcon cable.
but straight up, it powered on, worked fine just didn't read cards, have a 2nd controller port and rattled a hell of alot! and makes some wierd noises but I think that was more the fan dying.
PJ instructor is for Pararescue...
I had a SNES and traded it in for a SMS. No regrets.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...
Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

hehe, i think the ps2 i have was even more lucky, i found it some years ago in the dumpster. disassembled! and it was raining too!!
it was summer so the rain was nice for me, not the same for electronics
i surprisingly found every piece of it very fast (but controller port) every piece was drowing in water, i took them to home, cleaned everything to dry with cloth and hairdryer, then reassembled.
I feared there was still some wet somewhere wich would fry everything, so i've waited two days before try to turn it on, and...tadaa!! it workedi had just a controller port lying around from an other rescue i've done in there a year before. (it was a destroyed ps2, just the controller port and the fan were intact so i took them)
it still works today, the funny thing is its covers was, and still is, like newnot even a scratch!

My SNES recently fell off my dresser when I pulled my controller too hard. I immediately leapt from my chair and caught it with my right hand, controller in left, still playing Killer Instinct without pausing. See? Unlike some people, I actually care about my electronics. Shame on you all for not being as hardcore as me.![]()
