He taught these guys. They are para rescue but they learn how to fight. He was a big dude. It would take a 2x4 though I would have preferred a bat with nails driven through it. He had been out of it when he meet my mom. He literally had been stabbed in the back in a bar fight and developed epilepsy. Because of that could no longer jump. He many issues , some I can't even discuss here.

I have to stress not SELLING CONSOLES I REPEAT NOT SELLING CONSOLES. I would like to talk about accidents or something else.

And 17days I have owned 15 different consoles and only the DC had given me the same issue everytime. I once had a 360 that got the RLOD but I sent it back and got another one that never gave me issues. I know the basics of taking care of consoles.

    Let's see...

Atari 2600 - Just gave up the ghost finally. I wanna say this was in... 1990. Outlasted the Atari 7800(!)

Atari 7800 - It stopped working, so we took it in to Radio Shack, and they repaired it, amazingly enough. About a year or two later, it finally kicked the bucket for good. Died a young age it did.

NES - The later in life it got, the less it decided to actually work.

SNES - This one pisses me off. My (now former) stepbrother asked if he could borrow it while he was in town for a couple days. Me, being too big hearted for my own good, said sure. The only game I had with me at the time was Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, so he took that. And moved away. Luckily, I got one on eBay, with a whole buttload of games to add to the collection I DIDN'T lend him. Jerkoff.

PSOne - Died the day I brought my PS2 home. Tragic, seeing as it played just fine the day before. "Oh, I see. I see how it is! Bringing home a younger, newer system. If you were TIRED of me why didn't you just SAY so? Fine. I know when I'm no longer wanted! I won't bother you ANY MORE!" *PSOne commits suicide out of grief*
...okay, maybe it didn't happen QUITE like that.

I know, but I'm saying that you did something DC specific. No one has had the controller port issues you've had. Like Guntz said, maybe it was taking out/plugging in controllers while it was on that did it (though I've done that before)? did you use 3rd party peripherals? which ones? There's gotta be something different that you are doing that makes it happen to you but not everyone else.

That has been so long ago I can't even remember. I last played my DC back in either 05 and put it back in storage well now it doesn't work. I'll get another one around here for 19.99. It's not a big deal since the systems are widely available for low price.

do you mean doesn't work it all or just the controller port? you have just to replace a fuse-like resistor to fix that issue

Genesis model 1 - Quit working when I was like 10-12, can't really remember when.

Playstation 2 - Took it apart to clean off the laser and the top lid part fell off along with the stupid silver strip. Never got around to fixing it.

That's pretty much all that's ever broke for me. My X'Eye did fall and the laser got messed up but I managed to fix it. That, the PS2, Dreamcast, and Saturn are the only CD systems I have though. I did have a 360 but I took it back after about a month because I was too afraid it was going to get the RROD.

Just to clear something up. Connecting/disconnecting should really only be an issue if you half-ass the process and slowly/partially plug it. That's why I try to quickly plug controllers in or just wait until the unit is turned off. Like I said before, the controllers draw a lot of power through the controller board, so there are considerable risks with shorting (hence the fuse blows).

Most of what I had has been sold over the years for various reasons. Some in need of cash(I wish I still had my TG-16 with CD or Dreamcast) some out of disgust(why the hell did I buy an Atari Jaguar?).

My only dead system was my original SNES. The video chip went bad and all I could get was a monochrome "black and white" picture from it. By the time this happened it was no longer under covered Nintendo warranty though.

Don't have a NES anymore, used to have about 80 games for it.

Sold it to Fuckno land for a N64 back in the day.

Had a Nomad that died on me a few years ago too.

Master System II with Sonic 1 Built in.

Loaned it to my mum's friend 5 years ago because she was all "Nostalgic on playing Sonic again". So yeah, I lent it to her along with the Sonic 2 cart, got the Sonic 2 cart back eventually but never saw my MS II again. She says she doesn't know what happened to it. Should have never lent it to them!

    Gameboy Colour Pikachu edition

Mum got me this when I was about 10 along with my GBA when I gave my older yellow Gameboy colour to a friend before. Had it for a little while, and lost it. Never managed to find it again to this day...

Got a used replacement blue Gameboy Colour from ebay 5 years ago...

    PSOne

TBH, I was a very latecomer when it comes to owning a PSOne lol. I got the thing in Christmas '01 and played the shit out of it. Fast forward to 4 years into owning it, already lost it's power adaptor, I grabbed one of them universal voltage adaptors and tried to switch it on. It worked, but the spindle was broken. So I stupidly switched the polarity the other way thinking it would work, and fried it. Wouldn't even work when I would switch it back.

    Sega Mega Drive II

Now don't get me wrong, I already own two of these, but I had yet a 3rd one that I suddenly lost about 5-6 years ago before we moved house. Just like the Pikachu Gameboy Colour, it just mysteriously disappeared.

    Gameboy Pocket

I still own it, but the screen is now showing bold black lines from top to bottom. Last it worked was before my little cousin got his grubby lil' hands on it. Tried opening it up to try fixing it to no avail, so it's just sitting in my drawer gathering dust...

    Sega Game Gear(s)

Heh, you could say of all the 4 Game Gears I have owned for the past 5-6 years, ALL have committed suicide on me...FUCK! I got about 3 GG's Christmas '04. Two of them had no sound with one of them with a huge black bar on the screen, while one was fully working but with a loose power plug. Lost the one with the black bar on the screen when we moved, the other one that had no sound the screen died aswell, the one that was fully working the screen is near dead and the sound is completly dead. I did get another one during 2005 and lately, the screen on THAT is on it's way out, but the sound is still working loud and clear.

So yeah, thats all the systems I lost over the years...
