I find her a refreshing antidote to brain-dead androids like Britney and Rihanna, Nikki seems to me quite honest that she makes music thats quite poppy, yet there seems a knowing wink to the music, like she knows a lot of it is posturing and quite fake. You either get played or play the system, seems to me she's got not allusions about the pop industry.

I totally thought this thread was a joke at 1st. Really people are attracted to her? She looks way too manly, and she's also way too heavy, for me to be interested in. I wouldn't touch her if she was naked and knocking on my bedroom door. lol

I also never heard her music until recently when I was listening to Rihanna and found the Fly video that they both made. After hearing Nicki's music, I think it's all random garbage and she can't even rhyme words together. Most of her rhymes are words that don't rhyme, and there's no content or substance, just random bullshit thrown together. Her wardrobe is also random shit just thrown together randomly.

Here's that Fly song; Rihanna looks natural and beautiful. Nicki is dressed up in random bullshit costumes and her rap ruins her own song. lol Rihanna should have just made the song herself!

Haha yeah I can tell her music is apparently done with irony, but my problem is there's still no substance, at all. And that might not be a problem if she was good at rapping or singing, but she sucks at rapping, and her songs all seem to have someone else singing the hook. Thats pretty much it. Music like this is created for the sole purpose of making money. Thats it. Heavy metal and hard rock is music that gets inside your soul and emits some kind of emotion in you. You can feel the passion in the artists when you hear those songs. Its muisc made from the heart and from being creative not made just to make a buck. It actually takes time, thought, and effort to create it and cant be done in 5 min on a computer.
