Daaaamn.. You can hate her music but her body is out of this world. I don't get how she's with Meek though, i mean my GF is not a fan of Nicki's look but even she says he's punching above he's weight - a lot.

I've been a long time fan of Sole, because at least if you can understand the words you'll find that he's actually talking about something and it usually will lead you looking into something and possibly even learning something. With most hipster rap, it's literally gibberish trying to sound deep, but sounding retarded instead. Most of the genre is crap. But not as crap as mainstream hip-hop, which is literally gibberish trying to sound cool, but sounding retarded instead.
A quick question to you nerds. As a former "Hip-Hop nerd", should I just ignore the genre altogether? 'Cause a lot of the stuff labeled as "conscious" was my jam back in the day. Am I a hipster for liking ASHERU, MF Doom, MadLib, J-Dilla, Koolkeith(and most of his personas)etc, etc; before they were ever remotely popular? I mean....fuck, maybe there's a reason I can only listen to classical music these days. Shit.
You're think biggest hipster around, all "crystal pepsi is so cool"... I bet you liked crystal pepsi before it was discontinued, and now you conveniently think it sucks now that it's back and everyone can try it?
Anyways, you already share an integral part of hipsterdom - "retro gaming". It's a big thing now with the trendies. Sometimes they latch on to things that are actually cool. Never really understand why people distance themselves from trendy association. What kind of rep do you think you have anyway that you'd let it take things from you?
The whole thing confuses me. Trendies hate mainstream stuff because it's sheepish and unintelligent, but trendies themselves are the same way, and then the rest who mock them are also latching onto whatever they see as being the opposite. Basically nobody thinks for themselves. You need a healthy balance between all that is mainstream, hipster, and obscure.
Well, the only real rep I actually consciously cultivate is the one at my job. And that's only to not break continuity in my revenue stream. Otherwise I'm basically the same person I am on the internet: a bitter dick hole. But for some reason out of all of the awful groups of people out there, the one I'm most afraid to be associated with is hipsters. They seem to, for some reason, touch a nerve. Anyways, I'm just gonna chalk it up to the process of getting older enhancing my already sour nature.
Btw, I have always thought that Pepsi and Crystal Pepsi were, and are terrible products. I think I've even said that somewhere on here.
What, are you an RC Cola guy? You're that anti-establishment? Sorry, I guess I misread you.
But I can relate to the damn kids sentiment myself, even though I'm not that old. Kids are really fucking stupid, except when they're 2 - 5 years old, for a short period they're adorable. Then they become insufferable for the next 15 - 20 years.
Old school rapper Scarface grew up in a family of musicians and was classically trained at a young age. At one point back in the 90s, I remember an interview where they asked him about his listening havits and he claimed to only listen to classical music. I've since seen him discuss other rappers though, so that has changed, or he was just BSing.
I don't know much about popular music anymore, but there are some stellar classical albums that have come out the last few years. I also listen to quite a bit of jazz.
