Actually I enjoyed PS2 Shinobi much more than I enjoyed Xbox Ninja Gaiden (that's a game that is most certainly overrated).

God, I hate whiny American accents. How can shadow dancer get an 8? There are so many gems on the Mega Drive that ranking this dull tosh an 8 is a disservice to every other games on the console.

I think 8 is a fair rating for Shadow Dancer. I really enjoy the game, although I am not good in playing it.

I believe Shadow Dancer to be a very average game. I cannot believe it is rated an 8 on here as well. Other than an attack dog, nothing stands out in Shadow Dancer as being particularly wonderful or awesome.

But there´s nothing standing out in RoS or Shinobi III either; they´re just good action-games. And so is Shadow Dancer.

Shinobi III stands out as a fine example of what Mega Drive games can do. It may not be as ninja as the other two but the speed, responsiveness, variety of moves and levels make for some really awesomely sexy gameplay. Revenge of Shinobi is very ninja, very dark and has some really nice action and music. I always found Shadow Dancer lacking and, I think I've mentioned it before, it seems more of a memory game at times than a reflex and follow your nose, which the other two are.

Well, I agree with you on RoS, but I can´t really find much love for Shinobi III. Graphics are more cartoonish than in RoS and the levels are lacking atmosphere. Just a weaker RoS for me.
Shadow Dancer has this apocaslyptic setting and changes the gameplay quite a bit; I´d prefer it any day from Shinobi III.

Shadow Dancer should have gotten a 10 its not bad at all i love the gameplay!

I play this every once in a while. I could get to the last levels (the rooms) some years back but now I couldn't get past the caves area.
