Shadow Dancer is awesome, I play it every day. For the last three days, at least.
Does anyone know is daminmancejin2 is still alive or did he die from Shadow Dancer withdrawal?
Dang I got to the last boss but he's a tough tattie! I can't imagine playing through this game without the dog or shurikens or magic. That's insane.
Shadow Dancer is a good game but I still prefer The Revenge of Shinobi.
hey guys im back and still love shadow dancer still the greatest ninja game for the sega genesis.
I love Shadow Dancer!"
Hey, welcome back! I still need to buy Shadow Dancer one day. I just wonder which version, Japanese or European. Hmmm...

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

Hmmm.. Maybe I should go with the JP version. I already have the JP version of Shinobi III because the boxart looks better in that case. Then, if I get The Super Shinobi, I have all three Shinobi games from the same region. But a OT question is: is there a EU version of Revenge of Shinobi with Batman in it? I want one with Batman. I only have a pirate cart with the JP Shadow Dancer art.

well it doesn't matter which one you get its still the same shadow dancer game just different box art
I love Shadow Dancer!"
I hear the story is a bit different too. JP version stars the son of Joe Musashi, western version Joe himself.

The story in this game is pretty much irrelevant. I dunno how it was in Europe but in America, people rewrote stories all the time. Usually because, unless we're talking about RPGs, the story was pretty much contained exclusively to one page in the manual.
There's *one* scrolling screen of text that goes by if you leave the game alone at the title screen long enough. So yeah, irrelevant. If it really bothers you, you can just pretend that's the son of Musashi in the Western release. The sprite is exactly the same at any rate.
Well, most of those 46 pages have been written by daminmancejin2
That guy is just priceless!![]()
i will continue to play shadow dancer forever the greatest ninja game on sega genesis
I love Shadow Dancer!"
