yup exactly the same![]()
Hi,
POST REVIVAL
So I got a copy of castlevania bloodlines today...and im not sure if its ..well real. For one it does not say Assembled in Mexico, or Made or anything on the back. It just Says Sega. The front seems non glossy like the majestic versions you mention and a bit blurry... The Castlevania bloodlines small print seems smaller than usual on the front....not sure...Can anyone verify if this is fake or not? Thanks

Mine says made in mexico as well
That's definitely the Majesco reprint...I got the same cart when I bought the game for $20 at Toys 'R Us back in 2001. As you can see, the "Made In" portion in the back of the cart is haphazardly covered over with a piece of plastic.
Majesco spread its seed pretty widely when it came to re-prints, so much that their re-prints are more common than the original runs of certain games.
It's completely irrelevant since the two prints play the same, but I'm nuts about most Konami stuff, so I would opt for the Made in Japan Konami release.

Bought mine from a trade-in used game store in my town. It is the Mexico cart in the "Made in Japan" version's clamshell with no manual.
What's kind of Torx Screw does it take??
After looking at one of my copies that were made in Mexico, I believe the torx screw is 2.74mm (size T10).
The Konami version uses a different screw altogether.

To the original OP, the copy that you featured in the photo looks to be an original version. It is just missing the `Made In Mexico` sticker on the back. If you are truly concerned, you can simply open the cartridge and examine the board itself.

Ha! Nice sarcasm there.
Racketboy calls 'em "game bits" http://www.racketboy.com/store/featu...ebit-tool.html A 4.5mm "game bit" with funny teeth that can turn the screws. I have a Blasteroids arcade machine that uses odd hex security bolts to hold certain parts together, so it's not just exclusive to console games.
Konami cart photo coming momentarily!

Cool to see the Konami logo on the back! This cartridge cleaned up real nice with little effort. Picked it up local. Thanks Jesse!

A pretty snazzy cartridge! Until today I always assumed that these were the only two types of screws used to secure SEGA cartridges. But after I took a quick look, it appears I was wrong. For example, I took a look at an Akklaim cartridge and assuming that a T10 Torx screwhead would work. In fact it did not. When I looked at an Electronics Arts cartridge, it utilized 2 "freason" screws!
