I chose the 3000 after watching a few Youtube videos comparing the screens. The colors are so much better on the 3000 and I haven't noticed the interlacing problem, even with video files.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
Wow the color depth sure is much better on the 3k! I also didn't know they changed the buttons too.
Not to sound like a cock... but why can't people simply boycott a product until it's done "properly"? Sony wants to charge $250 for something with the issues y'all are listing yet people buy these things like hotcakes... why?
Well none of them are HUGE issues and overall they're improved from one to the next. There's nothing horribly wrong with the 3k and the other improvements are nice. Like you can see in the video the color depth is much better and since the original model the PSP got slimmer, lighter and they added TV out and changed the buttons. Overall it's got better and cheaper even if a few little flaws popped up. You can get new 3K's for like $160 now so there's nothing to complain about there. Now the PSP Go on the other hand. People are boycotting it in a way are they not? I mean most people aren't buying it and people are actually still buying the 3k over the go all the time.

Moddable PSP-2000 is the only way to go. The D-pad of the 2000 is way better than the 1000. Haven't played the 3000, but since it can't be modded, I have no interest. And the PSP-Go is an absolute joke...one of the worst handheld ideas ever, especially while the 3000 is still on sale.
