I've heard stories of it raining fish before but that's usually debunked as the doing of a tornado crossing a lake or something like that. I wonder what happened in these other two cases..... It would be semi-hilarious if it was a tornado's doing but you never know. Anything could have happened I guess. Still, its not every day fresh meat falls from the sky and lands in your yard.

Maybe it will rain money someday. XD

Some previous archaeological team was not very careful about preserving the integrity of the site.

The effect is a teddy bear or whatever else you want to "petrify" that appears fossilized but it's not really because no mineral replacement has ocurred.

    The effect is cool though.

You can do this experiment at home if you have hard water. Fill a bowl or a glass and let it completely dry out. The dusty white stuff left behind is a layer of calcium and whatever else is in your water.

That kind of phenomena happens also in places where no tornados. However I wouldn't be surprised if that has to do with contamination, radiation or something related, since the world its getting screwed up quicker, however I might be wrong since this phenomena might happened in the past, haven't checked some sources about it, but could be.

Indeed there are accounts of strange animals & objects falling out of the sky, going back a couple hundred years, IIRC. My housemate has a book laying round somewhere, with several very old accounts!!! I will post soon, when I find his book!!!

Glisp: I actually didn't believe in a god either once. Then I shifted between being agnostic and trying to decide if I wanted a faith or not. I only became a wiccan because my dad was a paganist. (which is like one step into darker territory from Wicca.)
Just curious, as I'm only slightly familiar with these religions / philosophies:

So: Why is Paganism considered "one step into darker territory from Wicca?"

Also: If u want, please explain more what makes up both Paganism and Wicca, as u see it. I'm asking because AFAIK both terms can encompass a pretty huge range of beliefs & practices. Also I'm really curious why u classify Paganism as more "dark" than Wicca; and of course it depends on what exactly u mean by these titles....

Also, do u consider Paganism to encompass Wicca? Paganism can be an especially broad term, with almost endless different definitions, AFAIK....

I do remember hearing people say that Wicca is a strictly positive path; Would u say that's accurate? I guess Paganism can mean almost anything, so I guess that's why u classify it as more "dark" right? And in an even earlier post, when u said u MIGHT lean toward a darker path, I assume u meant that u might be leaning toward Paganism? (My guess / assumption for what u meant.) Is that accurate? Please explain more about all of the above, if u want to.

I'm asking only out of curiosity and nothing more. I've only known one devoted Wiccan, a coworker at a restaurant years ago. A nice upstanding gentleman.

A rambling article on Admiral Richard E. Byrd who flew over the North and South Poles and reported via radio that both places, he discovered openings in the ice that were warm oases with grass, forests, animals etc. This leads to the hollow Earth theory...

It seems that the house of the haunted hill it's very good! It's a movie but I just heard of it, and surprisingly it's not new.

I have waited a long while before posting this account for a number of reasons. You see that I have been questioned on these forums for my believing in these accounts while holding a deep-seated faith in Jesus as my Savior. None of my accounts negate any of my firmly held beliefs that Jesus died for my sins. One day, when I make heaven my home, I will be able to ask my Lord face to face exactly what happened to our family during my youth. While I open myself to ridicule, doubt, and scorn on these forums, I do it with a clear conscience that everything I type is absolutely and completely true.

As before, all I ask is that the reader listen without prejudice.

During the early to middle years of my childhood my family had a series of encounters with cannot be termed anything but the paranormal. Ghosts? UFO's. I do not know, but I serve a risen Lord who does.

My family frequented a few drive-in movie theaters in my town from about the time I was 5 until about the time I reached the age of 10. Usually the motion picture fare at these theaters bordered between B and C grade films, and my mother and oldest brother would tend to get bored and go for strolls along the perimeter of the drive-in theater properties. On one rather uneventful evening, at one of the theaters located just outside the southern outskirts of our town, my mother and brother, along with the rest of our family, was shaken to the bone by a truly strange experience.

After about the mid-point of the second feature, one of the Godzilla movies if memory serves me correctly, my mother and oldest brother returned to our car and were noticeably upset. In hearing their account to my father and other brother, they had been walking at the rear of the drive-in theater's property line, peering into a wooded area, when they saw the strangest sight. Both described seeing a strange glowing saucer shaped object set back into the trees by a couple hundred yards (I should also add at this point in my account, that my father, younger brother, sister, and I had noticed some distracting lights to the rear of our parked car prior, outside the boundaries of the drive-in theater's property line). Curious (and brave, I might add), my mother and teenage brother made the decision to climb over the trodden down fence and into the woods. This is when my brother says that the saucer-shaped object elevated and began to hover slightly below the tree tops. At that moment, my mother and brother decided it best to exit the woods and return to our car where my father, brother, younger sister, and I were still watching the movie.

Upon telling us about their experience, my father decided that it was time to leave and drive home for the evening. We had already watched one movie, and my sister was quite young, and they needed to get her to bed.

As we drove home, my mother and brothers all noticed a lighted object seemingly following our path, hovering above our car at approximately the altitude of a low-flying airplane. My father did his best to pay attention to the task of driving, so had no opportunity to look for himself. Our home was about 5-7 miles from the drive-in theater, so it didn't take more than about 10-15 minutes through our town until we reached our home.

As we pulled up to our house, we all witnessed the glowing object fly slowly over our house, then it accelerated rather abruptly out of sight. Almost at warp speed for lack of a better term. We all made our way into the house quickly and were greeted by a weird sight. In our family room, our recliner chair was flipped upside down. In the living room, a set of full length curtains that had been covering our picture window was shredded into thin threads. Not strips, but threads. Finally, my mother had a large (about two feet tall) floor vase in her bedroom (just off the family room, and easily visible because the door was open) that had been shattered and was now powder on the carpeted floor. The vase was not broken into pieces or shards. No, it was almost like it had been vaporized into glass powder.

No explanation for what happened, but it was a surreal night for our family, and one that remains unexplained to this day.
    It is finished!

    @tz101:

^Thanks for an interesting and honest account.

The details are very specific and very bizarre. Each detail is puzzling. Do you have any other thoughts on what might explain anything from that night? Why the chair, the curtains, and the vase? What could it mean?

Actually my parents always had crazy stories of the paranormal, but never such wild physical phenomena, as evidence, left over... What is it!!!

Actually, I guess the only thing certain about your account, is that there is much, MUCH more to the story, than we can possibly know!

Certainly very interesting story tz101, you reminded me a film called the smurls, which in some part of their paranormal experience they were frequently followed by some entity, the movie its based in a famous haunting in usa.

One night, quite a few years ago, my parents were out for the weekend, so I decided to just stay in and order pizza or something.

A little later that evening I heard like a slow type pounding on the front door. It was very faint and I am not exactly sure how I even heard it. Naturally, being young and careless, I opened the door without checking to see who it was. I thought it most probably was the pizza delivery guy, so I opened the door.

The person at the door was a little strange looking but not overly so. I mean if I had seen him during the daytime I probably would have overlooked him. He was wearing a black type suit (and oddly because it was evening) he had sunglasses on. I also recall very distinctly that he had pale skin with quite high cheekbones. For some reason I remember thinking he looked possibly like he was from eastern descent. Anyway, he told me he had just been in a car crash and needed to use my telephone to contact the authorities. He specifically mentioned a grey Chevrolet vehicle. Now normally, I would have admitted him instantly, but there was just something wrong about him. The way he spoke was not in any distressed way at all. It was just so calm.

I told him that if he wanted I would call the police for him. He paused for a moment, then he kind of looked backwards with a strange tilt of the head. As he did that, I caught a look at his eyes beneath his sunglasses. This guy had the weirdest eyes. I mean they were quite large and bloodshot. Kinda like a person who hadn't slept in days.

So anyway I assured him that I would call the cops for him if he just stayed on the front porch. I shut the door and went to the phone. As I was dialing, I looked through the peephole to see the stranger, but he was just no longer there.

Now the thing about all this is, my dad was running a painting contractors company at the time and one of his newest staff members looked eerily like the stranger which had knocked on my door that night. And I remember he would always kind of give me this kind of weird smile whenever I was visiting at my dad's office.
Anyway, a few weeks later I didn't see him anymore and asked my dad where this guy was? My dad said he hadn't told us so as not to upset us but that this man was killed in a car crash a few days back. The car he was driving at the time? A grey tinged Chevrolet.

Just a strange set of circumstances or was there something "more" to it? I don't know.
