I hated when my dad always commented what games I buy. Like when I got DS and bought Mario Kart, he said what a baby game and I'm too old for these. I started an argue with him :/. Then they have said why I'm buying these and wasting my money, I say it's my hobby etc. They think im too old for these...
But thanks god I don't live with them no more.. so fuck them
Funnily enough, my mum refers to the systems I would be playing their correct names. She pretty much knows and recognises each console she got for me whenever I mention them. Hehe. Not all parents are clueless!![]()
I knew this guy a while back who's dad was like that as well, the dad was all "READ A BOOK DURRR YOU'LL BE SMART AND BETTER THEN THE REST DURRRRR"
poor guy never got to experience a console, until we finally coerced him into buying a gamecube,
yeah.. 1 day later we weren't friends with him anymore, guess he got yelled at.
(dude was like 20 at the time)
Oh I do... but not because of the Xbox, but several notable game releases prior to that for PC. Granted a fair amount were simply published by MS and developed by 3rd parties.
Of the several titles which come to mind, Crimson Skies is most notable.
However, the names Sierra, Lucas Arts (or Lucasfilm Games), Origin, Activision, EA, Blizzard, Infocom (granted much of that was under Activision), id, Apogee, Psygnosis, and a couple others come to mind as well. (for me growing up, it was probably mainly Lucas Arts along with Infocom/Activision in the 90s on PC, a couple MS published and a bit of Sierra stuff and a couple Psygnosis releases -totally missed most of Origin's games back then though)
My mum and dad know exactly what a Sega Megadrive is
so yeah, it's all good here :P
