    If there is already a thread about this, which I have a feeling there is, feel free to delete this thread.
    Well....Retro gamer has covered the original Playstation.

    I'd say any system over 15 years old is pretty close to vintage. Retro could be classified as being 2 generations back from what is current, like the GBA SP once the 3DS arrives.
    A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

    I'd say 20 years. Atari, NES, Master System etc... SNES and Genesis are on the verge of being. Technically, the Genesis is already 21 years old in the US, the SNES is short by one year. Anything later, not vintage.

    Does anyone really miss the Spice Girls?

    Are they missed across the globe?

    Does England miss them?

    You do know that Atari "wood paneling" is just painted plastic, right?

    No, you're missing the whole point - you're not "old", you're "vintage".

    Didn't the Spice Girls try to come back (must've been in need of a couple more big houses / small islands each, or something) and nobody gave a crap?

    I prefer the term, "classic," especially considering my son is a Junior.

    You reside in Spice Girl central, did they come back and nobody cared?

    The bigger question is: why did England let them loose in the first place? Hoping they would leave?

    They did like a Tour and like brought out 1 new single that was about it .
    and this sums it up for me as well

    Vintage = Anything before the NES/MS
    Classic = 8/16-bit years
    Nostalgic = 32bit to DC
    Modern = PS2 to today.

    Still people call songs under 5 years old these days Retro. Where did over use of the word Retro come from I never heared the word ever used in the 80's or 90's?

    5yr old songs are "retro"? Clearly these whippersnappers haven't been told the true meaning of the word.

    "Retro" implies it was something that was once popular, wasn't for a good while (OVER 5 years) and is re-emerging in popularity.

    The NES would fit this criteria...circa 2003. Today it seems to have gotten some "legendary" status, which is why bug shit covered blinkers can go for $100.

    "Vintage," on the other hand, would be at least 1.5 to two human generations ago. That means at least 30 40 years (Atari 2600, original Sega's own Duck Hunt 'O Matic, etc...).
    fixed.

    ...'thought it needed fixing.
